NavyBlue Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 Good episode and Oscar was outstanding in it! But, how in the hell are they gonna wrap this up in one episode? I just can’t see myself being satisfied.
Blood Magic Posted April 27, 2022 Author Posted April 27, 2022 (edited) Is there really a lot left to wrap? The finale will probably go like this Spoiler Marc is resurrected, Khonshu is freed so Moon Knight can come back. They defeat Harrow and Ammit. The end. Remember this is the MCU and Marc/Steven's story will continue elsewhere. Edited April 27, 2022 by Blood Magic
KasioKas Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 whew really great ep! but I really wanted to see the third personality and was hoping that would balance the scales.. but I guess only 2 hearts were weighed so both of them fought for balance and didn't need the 3rd?

I caught that on a reaction ytube vid just now. There's no explanation as to whether his heart was weighed though? like is he in the fields or was he turned to sand... Why didn't the hippo mention a 3rd?... Edited April 27, 2022 by KasioKas

WildAmerican Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 LORDY ! EMMY for Oscar Isaac, he is really giving everything this show. One of the best performances in the MCU by far.
WildAmerican Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 I started choking up a bit when Spoiler it was revealed that Marc made Steven bc of his abusive mother
Gorjesspazze9 Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 After re-watching the series and with only one episode left, here are a few theories of how the MoonKnight Can be more connected to the MCU. These aren’t spoilers, just fun thoughts for forum discussion. Spoiler 1. Marc will obviously be revived and become MoonKnight again to save the day. The ending could be a twist where Jake is revealed to be his 3rd identity and he is a New York City Taxi driver. This could be his 3rd identity that is aware of the avengers, and uses Marc as a defensive mechanism to forget about Thanos & The Avenger world around him. With Moonknights next appearance being in Werewolf by night coming to Disney + this fall. The MCU can utilize Marc as a monster hunter as he hunts werewolf’s, Vampires, and other occult creatures. And he switches back to Marc/Steven for the more slice of life episodes. Here he can also interact with Blade. This would set up the supernatural side of the MCU and explain why the MCU stuff isn’t as relevant in the MoonKnight Show. 2. Arthur Harrow mentioned that Chaos was inside of Steven. This could be referencing chaos magic. Like Wanda, MoonKnight could be a nexus character due to his god given power and fractured identities. This opens up more of the magical side of the MCU. Also the references to Black Panther’s Ancestral Plain and other Thor Like 9 realms, opens up the different universes. With the Multiverse being the main concept of Phase 4, it makes sense for MoonKnight. He is literally a Warrior for a God. This could open up the potential for other warriors for Gods/Demons like Silver Surfer & Ghost Rider. The Potential is there 3. the last area of the MCU that would fit best for MoonKight is after Werewolf by Night where he tries to control his identity disorder better by visiting Doctor Strange or another Place for gifted individuals like professor Xavier in the MCU. I know he isn’t a mutant and makes no sense, but a little hint towards an Xavier being in the MCU would be cool enough. And depending on how things play out in Docter Strange, maybe the Nexus idea of MoonKnigt could be plausible. Just some thoughts, don’t take any of this seriously. I just wonder how he will be utilized more in the rest of Phase 4

And let's not forget that there's a third personality that has been teased consistently for the last three episodes and has yet to show up.
zaso Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 the worst episode so far. who asked for his backstory? we don't want to see oscar isaac to flex his acting skills in a marvel show. where are the action scenes? marvel really fell off after 2019

People were getting tired of the formula by the end of Phase 3, so they had to try new stuff.

One of the reasons, people are so engaged about the MCU is because they care about the characters before the action and they have been doing that since Iron Man. Edited April 28, 2022 by Blood Magic

I guess we'll see how it goes next week, but a few Marvel shows had finales with a few plot points left unresolved, either intentionally or not, so I won't be surprised if they follow the same path for this one. The spoiler was unnecessary though Edited April 28, 2022 by Hephaestus
KFC Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 I've tried my hardest but I just can't enjoy this at all The hippo god and the entire afterlife plot was ridiculous even by MCU standards and the way they played it 100% serious like you have a giant CGI hippo with a British voice and you expect viewers to buy that it's some sort of god. Lord The dialogue between Marc and Steven whenever they speak is pretty poor too. Every episode has had at least 5 solid minutes of them just screaming each others name The action scenes we've had so far are cool though.

I'm going to edit my post to hide it since you've done it as well. One thing is for sure though: I hope we'll see Moon Knight interact with other MCU characters soon. I'm really curious to see how he fits in the bigger picture.
Jared Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 I loved this last episode! Seeing his post slowly unfold throughout the episode had me on the edge of my seat. Once something was revealed I just wanted to know more and more. Some people doing the most.
Desire Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 Wow another amazing episode. So great to see Marc's backstory and how Steven came into play. A lot of spoiler tags above and i'm so tempted to click but I'll just wait for the finale next week. It's also insane to think the finale is next week since there's still a lot going on. Clearly just wrapping up the main plot but also the 3rd personality (I thought they would bring that up this ep but guess I was wrong) + just adding in how MoonKnight will fit into the larger MCU picture. Knowing how this all works they'll probably just include a little clue in the post credit scene as to how he fits in. And some of y'all are doing the most I know this show isn't for everyone but this is now the 6th Disney+ show and i think it's safe to say that they have all strayed away from what people may be used to seeing in MCU movies.
Broken Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 Oscar Isaac is incredible. What a performance. This episode is right up there with the EMMY nominated WandaVision episode "Previously On". Can't wait for the finale!
Katy V.! Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 The Gods voice voiceover is so ridiculous that it ruined the show for me. I thought it was just something against Konshu's voice but now Taweret too. Oscar has been really good but you can tell that he thinks this is a better show than it actually is. They do have a big chance of knocking it out of the park for a 2nd season / whenever he comes back.
