I tried watching Fear, gave up, my friend told me "it gets good in season 4", but I'm not watching 3 seasons of nothing for that :skull:

idk who told you that :rip:

1-3 are the only good seasons that actually served a purpose and you could tell there was a larger story to be told with Madison slowly becoming the antagonist. Now Fear is one of if not the worst show on television, they literally just make up the most ridiculous plot points that are completely nonsensical. I saw it getting dragged on my tl yesterday so I thought I'd look at a few clips from the most recent episode and its truly embarrassing. I planned to catch up to see the return of Madison, but with these writers they're just going to butcher her character like the rest of the show.. She'll end up like Morgan adopting the all life is precious mantra, forgiving Charlie for killing her son, she'll probably even adopt her and become best friends with her. Because on this show you can only be good or bad, there is no grey area.  I can't believe some of this stuff is even greenlit for television. I don't see why they haven't fired the current showrunners when clearly everyone thinks its total garbage. Theres going to be an 8th season and it hasn't even been announced as the last, how exhausting.. end it already please.

don't worry about the Charlie stuff, she's literally on her death bed because of radiation poisoning, they probably won't even meet each other... so unless Madison swoops in and magically saves her, none of that is happening (but I wouldn't put it past the writers at this point)

They probably wanted to kill her off to avoid that interaction bc they have no clue how to address the situation, they've dug themselves so many holes. It really wouldn't surprise me if Madison returns with a cure and magically saves her. :rip:

if the writers had balls, they'd let Madison kill Charlie the second she found out she killed Nick, now it seems like a cheap send off and if Madison even gets to meet her, she'll probably feel sorry for her because "she's dying slowly and painfully anyway", which is just lazy writing to me :rip: at this point I'm watching only because I'm excited for Madison's return and I'm curious to see how they'll manage to mess her character up :skull:

I don't watch Fear anymore but I just heard 7x15 was uploaded on amc+ and the showrunners confirmed on the episode insider that its Alycia Debnam-Careys final episode and 7x16 is confirmed to be the return of Madison.. This is an absolute joke. They really had Alicia exit and Madison return the literal next episode. Why couldn't they have had them reunite and then her die or something.. They are really embarrassing. When the episode airs next week I'm sure this will be a total mess.

everybody knew that would happen but we (all 4 of us who still watch the show) were in denial :rip: the new showrunners did not want to deal with 2 major characters so of course they let one of them go right before reintroducing the other one. so cheap... Alicia/Madison reunion sounded too good to be true from the get-go, but I'm still mad :deadbanana4: I wish they did not spoil Madison's return so soon because I'm sure everyone would be less mad about Alicia leaving if Madison appeared out of nowhere.

"can't wait" to see how they mess up Madison's character :rip:

Not S7 :deadbanana:

The way I haven’t watched this since season 2 when they hyped up the Asian girl from the minis only for her to be a wasted character.

Wtf. How do they come up with this ****.

Watching some clips from Madisons return, just like everything on this show they absolutely butchered her character. She doesn't even want to find her kids, shes kidnapping children, shes stuck with Morgan. This is not my Madison, these writers have no talent whatsoever. They didn't even show how she escaped the stadium. This is so frustrating how can they get it so wrong every step of the way, how stupid can you be seriously..

I was waiting for this to decide whether I’d watch and it’s a big fat no. **** these writers. I know it’s only a show, but how incompetent do you have to be.

I'm happy Maddison's back despite of what happened in this episode. they tried to give her some rushed backstory after Alycia quit and it all fell... flat. she still seems like badass tho and I like that she wasn't willing to break the character (until the end of course :clown:), but I need more to judge. I don't believe they will find the sweet spot in s8 unless they replace the showrunners, but they need to keep things GOING. it's been nothing but constant prolonged buildups with absolutely no pay offs and atrocious writing :rip: the only thing this show has figured out is the cinematography, but the rest--

they better tie in PADRE with CRM or something, because this **** is way past its expiration date :skull: why can't they just make 8 episodes instead of drawing it out for 16???

ugh anyway, when is Tales premiering? I hope that one is better than whatever FTWD and TWD has been serving

Madison returning was their last chance for me. I knew they would **** up her return, but I was still holding out hope bc I love the character she was actually becoming an extremely interesting and complex character in season 3 specifically I also really like the actress and believe she deserved better than being fired and replaced as the lead by another actor from another show. I find this a little more depressing than TWD going down in quality bc I know TWD is ending but these spin offs are telling in terms of how much amc will allow the franchise to turn to utter garbage.

They clearly don't have as many live viewers anymore they're just scrapping 600k, so they must really be making bank off of amc+ and their streaming service. Having TWD name on there is probably a big draw for them and they'll just keep pushing out half baked, low budget content in TWD franchise because they have nothing else and they get away with it. People aren't loud enough about this show being crap anymore, they just accept it.

I remember everyone complaining about seasons 7-8 of the main show and then there was a drastic turn around for season 9. Same thing happened with Fear after the abysmal season 5, 6 was seemingly getting better, I heard they had complaints bts from actors hence the changes made for season 6 but then they immediately went back to season 5 quality if not worse for season 7.

I'm starting to wonder do they think Fear is camp? Like is that what they're going for? Is that how they justify it being painfully bad..

my delusional ass is still holding out hope for Madison's proper villain story. I know it most likely won't happen, but what if? :dies: I already wasted a lot of time on this show, I might as well finish it. it's a car crash and I can't look away that's a lie, I can, I usually play a game while the episode plays somewhere in the background

I'm honestly shocked it got renewed, but I think we have Kim Dickens to thank for that. the show must be dirt cheap to make because why else would they keep going? I will be stunned if this gets a 9th season :rip:

the problem is that the people can't be loud about it being crap when nobody's really watching. I don't follow the official accounts on twitter/insta so I have no clue what the gp thinks about it, but I can't imagine that the comments are positive. I only joined the reddit community, and everybody's trashing it left and right every week, but I don't think the showrunners ever visit that subreddit lol

if they think it's camp, it's definitely the straight version of camp :skull: I hope people are widely dragging it, I'm sure most will be pressed Alycia left. if s8 picks up some pace and drops the character centric episodes, does a time jump and ties it in with the main show, it could be at least somewhat watchable

I had to turn it off after 7 minutes. Absolute shite.
