Chamoy Posted September 8, 2022 Author Posted September 8, 2022 The pre-merge being dragged out for three months and the merge only lasting one month. It's unhinged television to have two double eliminations back to back. And ppl think these producers are smart enough to plan someone getting idoled out?? They can't even plan out a proper schedule for their shows without changing the air dates halfway through the season. This is why TV Azteca is in shambles. Made some gifs of the merge ep to celebrate us finally getting a merge feast.
Chamoy Posted September 10, 2022 Author Posted September 10, 2022 Cathe letting Cyn get inside her head before tribal council... Maybe Kenta was right about no longer being able to trust her. The lobos were clearly trying to convince Cyn and David to vote for someone other than Ale so they could send three jaguares into elimination. The goal was for the non-jaguares to sit back and watch Santi, David and Yusef eliminate each other. Flipping David's vote and still sending him into elimination would've been almost as iconic as last week's move. Yusef is going to become even more insufferable now that he survived an elimination.
Chamoy Posted September 14, 2022 Author Posted September 14, 2022 I'm not going to celebrate too much until I see who leaves in this next double elimination, but Santi was the only other player besides Yusef that I didn't want anywhere near the finale. This F10 is so much better than last season's. I don't remember half of the people that made it to the end last year. I kinda checked out after they split up Paco and Gary. This season has managed to keep me entertained with all of the messy, selfish gameplay from almost all of the remaining players. I'm definitely ranking this season above S1 and S2 if one of the halcolobos wins. New Kenta rage gif on its way + another raw and emotional speech + whew + how do I tell him he's my twin flame
Chamoy Posted September 17, 2022 Author Posted September 17, 2022 I don't know why they're still making them compete as tribes, but Kenta and Julian did that! The universe lining up a little TOO well.
Chamoy Posted September 17, 2022 Author Posted September 17, 2022 Halcolegends did it again. On Mexican Independence Day, no less. Survivor Mexico is getting a winner that did something besides win challenges. The tension after the votes were read, current Survivor US could never. Yusef going out like Brenda in Caramoan and making Cyn, David and Nahomi feel bad for voting for him... I think I'll be able to look back on this season and appreciate Yusef more knowing that he doesn't win. Kenta and Cuchao laughing while everyone else was crying/feeling ashamed of themselves. I love two chaotic men. Cuchao received most of the credit for flipping Cyn and making this move possible, but Cata saving the vote block advantage she won at the auction until the right moment was impressive in and of itself. I'm also going to pretend Nahomi didn't actually give a damn about Yusef and was just being nice to him so he would give her his symbol. A social, strategic queen if you ask me. I feel like Kenta, Julian and Nahomi are in trouble tonight if they don't win immunity. They've all played great games and won the challenges that actually matter, not some random reward challenge to go see a Canelo fight. How is that even going to work? Isn't the Canelo fight happening tonight? I'm crying at David accepting Yusef's invite to the fight and still voting his ass out anyway. Lemme go read the meltdowns from the Exatlon stans.
Chamoy Posted September 20, 2022 Author Posted September 20, 2022 Kenta and Nahomi burning bridges left and right, lmaoo. Cathe said she never wants to speak to either of them ever again in her exit interview. I don't think the public is gonna appreciate their ruthless gameplay. Nahomi apparently swore on her mother that she wasn't going to vote for Yusef. That's why Yusef was so upset with her. Cata exposing Kenta for scheming against Julian was not it, though. She should've looked at that as an opportunity to break up the Julian/Cuchao duo that would probably vote for Cata before they vote for each other. My faves are gonna fumble the bag again just like Paco did last season, I fear. This ugly format makes it nearly impossible to know what path they should take to improve their winning chances. Like, how are they supposed to know that David García has a lot of support simply because he's the only sane person left in the game?? All I know is that I want Chaos Kenta in that F3.
Klarth F Posted September 20, 2022 Posted September 20, 2022 I did not watch Yusef or Cathe's eliminations in real time since I was traveling due the holidays but... MESS I did not see them coming this early (well, Yusef's... Cathe overstayed her welcome a while ago) it was iconic a bit I never thought Cynthia and David would flip like that. Glad they did it thought because otherwise Yusef had won this. But yeah Nahomi and Kenta's behavior Kenta is straight up unhinged and Nahomi playing innocent... girl. I think I'm rooting for Julian or either David tbh but we'll see. Can't wait for this to be over since it has lasted waaayyy to long.

Chamoy Posted September 28, 2022 Author Posted September 28, 2022 (edited) Kenta and Nahomi, GET BEHIND ME!!!!! I had an entire essay written in my head about how this is the most satisfied I've been with a F3 since, like, One World and San Juan Del Sur, but this sneak peek completely ruined the vibe. The eliminated players returning with outside info doesn't sit right with me. Cathe also said some pretty nasty things in her confessionals, so I don't know why she's so shocked about other people talking about her. I wish the viewers were brave enough to vote for Kenta and Nahomi after this just to make these players fume even more, but they're most likely gonna go with the safe choice, Julian. I keep seeing people on Twitter saying that Julian played the most "honorable" game out of the three. Since when is openly bribing people/promising them some of the prize money to get them on your side a much more respectable way to play the game, lmao. This sort of idealization/vilification is exactly why the viewers shouldn't be voting for the winner. Kenta, Nahomi and Julian all played ruthless and strategic games. They were really good at getting people to trust them and then cutting them without any hesitation. The Survivor US fans would probably love how bitter this cast is. Many people think that Survivor US has become too sanitized. They're tired of all the fake, kumbaya positivity from the new generation of Survivor players. They want to see fireworks at tribal council. The Survivor MX fans should be thanking Kenta and Nahomi for bringing some of that old school Survivor energy back. Edited September 28, 2022 by Chamoy
Chamoy Posted September 28, 2022 Author Posted September 28, 2022 Some will say that Kenta and Nahomi came out looking worse after last night's episode, but the fact that they were the ones collecting apologies by the end of that FTC is sending me. I love them so much. The only silver lining of them not winning is that they can both return for the Heroes vs Villains season that Azteca is supposedly planning. I'm hard just thinking about a villains tribe with Kenta, Cuchao, Gary and Paco. I need someone to make a compilation video of Julian normalizing bros being affectionate.
Chamoy Posted September 29, 2022 Author Posted September 29, 2022 The players creating the ponderosa content that these producers aren't giving us.
Chamoy Posted October 4, 2022 Author Posted October 4, 2022 (edited) The finale format remains garbage. I have mixed feelings about Julian winning. He was one of my faves for most of the season, but the blatant smear campaign against Kenta and Nahomi from him and everyone on Twitter towards the end really bugged me. I still think these are the best finalists we've had out of the three seasons. Each one of them brought something interesting to this season. Julian might've been the strategic mastermind of the season, but Kenta and Nahomi are going to be the enduring characters that everybody remembers when this show inevitably suffers the same fate as La Isla. I mean, sure, Julian pulled off the two biggest blindsides in the history of the show, but Kenta and Nahomi's falls from grace/struggles to rise again were more compelling television. Their joint slay. I'll always be obsessed with how they fluctuated between being overly emotional and ruthless in their gameplay. I think I identified a lot with Kenta because I, too, tend to overshare every intrusive thought I have. My fave moment of the finale was when Carlos asked Kenta if he thought he had the support of any of the eliminated players to win and he said he didn't need their support sfkhjl. My favorite non-strategic Julian moment was when he clocked Yusef during one of the challenges and told him what all of the viewers were thinking about the yellow tribe at the time. He was one of the few people that actually managed to get under Yusef's skin. His whole 'respectful leader' act completely fell apart there and he never recovered after that. Final Ranking 1. Kenta 2. Nahomi 3. Julian 4. Cuchao 5. Cathe 6. Catalina 7. Saadi 8. D. Ortega 9. D. Garcia 10. Cyntia 11. Christian 12. Jacky 13. Yusef 14. Karim 15. Fatima 16. Rogelio 17. Italivi 18. Tefi 19. Lupita 20. Salime 21. Javier 22. Viridiana 23. Santi Pits of hell. Gabriel Edited October 22, 2022 by Chamoy
Klarth F Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 Not Viridiana being that low in your ranking Chamoy skdhskhfskd. Everybody forgetting her existence Yusef included Overall I liked this season but the pacing was atrocious. I hate that they always start broadcasting the show so close to filming and then extending it when it gets some good ratings at least they didn't introduce new players outside of the substitutes. I honestly stopped watching the last week because it became very tedious. At least the mini reunion was lit. Cathe dragging Nahomi and Nahomi fighting back Still, I hate when people backtrack and try to play the victim ugh. And sorry, Kenta is way unhinged for me to like him. Him saying it was his plan all along to eliminate everybody in the elimination game... please Anyway, I'm glad Julian won but I need a girl or gay to win one of these days.
UnusualBoy Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 I wanted Nahomi to win but she got too much heat with the Yusef and Cate's useless ass elimination so her chances vanished after that but at least none of the Jaguares won, especially Yusef.

I don't see that happening as long as they keep letting the public vote for the winner. Nahomi would've won if they followed the US format and didn't let the eliminated players watch any of the season. Santi, Yusef, Cata, D. Garcia would probably vote for Nahomi. Cuchao and Saadi would vote for Julian. Cyn, Cathe and D. Ortega's votes could go either way, but I think at least one of them would vote for Nahomi. 2 hours ago, UnusualBoy said: I wanted Nahomi to win but she got too much heat with the Yusef and Cate's useless ass elimination so her chances vanished after that but at least none of the Jaguares won, especially Yusef. The symbol twist also hurt her. A lot of people felt she didn't earn her spot in the finale. The way she finessed that last symbol from Yusef after voting him out is up there as one of the best power moves of the season, though. Not Nahomi adding "2nd Place" to her IG bio.
Chamoy Posted October 5, 2022 Author Posted October 5, 2022 This would be a cute Heroes vs Villains cast. Heroes Tribe Women: Mel (S1), Kristal (S2), Aranza (S2), Barbara (S2), Cathe (S3) Men: Javier (S1), Fharid (S1), Eduardo (S2), D. Garcia (S3), D. Ortega (S3) Villains Tribe Women: Serrath (S1), Curvy (S1), Alejandra (S2), Nahomi (S3), Saadi (S3) Men: Jero (S1), Gary (S2), Paco (S2), Cuchao/Yusef (S3), Kenta (S3)
Chamoy Posted October 22, 2022 Author Posted October 22, 2022 @Klarth F This IG account (survexa_news) is saying that Azteca's bringing back La Isla by the end of next year. I usually don't trust any of these IG spoiler accounts, but this account has been pretty reliable in the past months. I would be here for La Isla returning just as long as they don't let Acun Medya anywhere near the franchise. La Isla honestly felt more like Survivor than Survivor Mexico. They even filmed in similar locations (Nicaragua for S3 and Pearl Islands, Panama for S5). The ratio of hot to ugly guys for each season was much better too. Anyway, it looks like Cathe and Kenta are back on good terms. Kenta apologized to Cathe for letting his paranoia tear them apart inside of the game. I'm glad they were able to talk things out cause I hated the way things ended with them. This is how they can still be the Jon and Jaclyn of Survivor Mexico. They're kinda winning the post-season with these Kia Soul paid partnerships. The T.A.B.S. of it all.
Chamoy Posted October 25, 2022 Author Posted October 25, 2022 Random observations from my pseudo La Isla re-watch. - Players actually being introduced through confessionals in the first episode. - Ferka getting the first confessional of the second chance season. - Lukini putting Jeff and Carlos to shame as the host. - Challenges not feeling like Exatlon leftovers. - The opening credits always slapping hard. - Bigger and better tribal council sets w/ each season. - Players getting eliminated through the tribal council voting. - Women leading the vote(s) against the muscle bros. - I started watching La Isla around Season 3 thanks to Enrique. That was the season that was airing here in the US on Azteca America when I found out about the show. I stayed seated for Enrique's looks and then I looked up the first 2 seasons on Youtube. - I still think about Pepe flopping his way through the semifinal challenge. - Pepe and Enrique sorta set the stage for Paco/Gary/Kenta. Yeah, La Isla is superior in a lot of ways.

Klarth F Posted April 17, 2023 Posted April 17, 2023 Thanks for the update @Chamoy I hadn’t heard anything about this season but this cast seems really plausible? Nelson joining Isbo and Dennis as the token Academia gay tho… he just started a musical so it’s surprising to see him in another project this soon. Brenda Zambrano on this show after quiting Resistiré tho…

They're currently holding open casting calls in Tijuana, Guadalajara, Monterrey, CDMX and Veracruz, so I think it'll be mostly non-celebs again.
Chamoy Posted May 1, 2023 Author Posted May 1, 2023 @Klarth F We have a premiere date for Season 4 - May 22. La Isla is supposedly returning after this season of Survivor finishes.
Klarth F Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 I'll believe it when I see it @Chamoy La Isla is a better version of Survivor Mexico but I don't think we will have both formats back to back. I went to listen to Flor Rubio's radio show from yesterday where Gabriel The Rat works and he spilled some tea, regarding this season (allegedly). - It's going to be 12 veterans from past seasons and 12 new people. - Pablo (s2), Kenta, Gero and Duggan have been approached. Yusef and Viridiana as well but they both declined. All the returning cast is getting a nice bump on their paycheck. Gabriel says he's done with the show and that he has done everything he wanted on Survivor. He implies Gary is confirmed as he's close to him and he's going to support him this season. He mentions Kristal has been approached as well but Flor Rubio says she doesn't think she's going as they both work together in VLA. - The new season starts on May 24th and the contestants leave next week.
Chamoy Posted May 7, 2023 Author Posted May 7, 2023 @Klarth F Will you be watching the Mexican version of La Casa De Los Famosos? 👀 Azteca's delusional if they think Survivor will be able to compete with that show. Televisa just released the first promo during the Canelo fight. There's a lot of hype surrounding it. An all-returnee season would've been a bigger draw than half newbies, half veterans. At this point, it looks like the rumors about Azteca not wanting to renew Survivor are true and they're most likely bringing back La Isla to take its place. We should start a petition for Televisa to buy the rights to Survivor if that happens. I included most of the rumored returnees in my dream Heroes vs Villains cast, except for Pablo and Ximena. Paco, Curvy and Serrath are the only names that I'm shocked about not seeing. I think Paco and Serrath are working for Televisa/Telemundo right now. That's probably why. Wait... maybe Televisa convinced Paco to do LCDLFMX instead. Kinda sad that we won't be getting a Gaco reunion, especially if this is the final season. Men: Javier/Jero (S1), Pablo/Gary (S2), Kenta (S3) Women: Ximena (S1), Barbara/Aranza (S2), Nahomi/Saadi (S3) These male returnee choices + Pascal, Bruno from the newbies, tho. Finally prioritizing beauty over brains, brawn, etc.
Klarth F Posted May 10, 2023 Posted May 10, 2023 Honestly I’m not interested AT ALL, about LCDLF. I’m surprised about its success tbh since the last couple of seasons of Big Brother VIP flopped a bit. The fact that my mom keeps wanting me to watch it I don’t think Survivor can compete with Televisa, has any season being able to beat the competition in rating? Maybe S2 against Reto 4 Elementos or El Retador (I don’t remember if they competed against each other)? I think it will come down to the cast and if they get messy.
