Playing 9 hours of tennis in less than 2 days at 37 years old, on completely 2 different conditions (and surfaces) and slipping/falling down plenty of times, injuring knee as a result of that and retiring from tournament? Geez, the obsessed dedicated hatreds he gets from some of you is really worrying questionable. Another reminder that he is still battling dirty underhanded tactics from organizers/atp/itf for speaking out and fighting for lower ranked players Edited June 4 by NoAngelus 1 1

Wow, this is a disgusting behavior (but I'm sure god is watching) and you wanna know what was karma? federer's and nadal's stans (and players themselves) mocking his injury in 2016/17 and celebrating his end. But karma decided that Novak was gonna break all their records after recovery. That was perfect example of karma Like imagine celebrating very possible career ending injury that happened because organizers out of blue moved his match from 20h to 22:30h and forced him to play late at night night at the worst conditions ever and forcing injury on him. You are that person. This is second #1 player in a row that became #1 without earning it, after Alcatraz. Edited June 4 by NoAngelus

You can debate the circumstances surrounding Alcaraz, but Sinner earned his #1 when, believe it or not, he defeated Djokovic at the Australian Open. The way Djokovic was playing (he struggled against guys like Musetti and Cerundolo), he wasn't going to make the final. Even if he did, he would have gotten embarassed by Sinner or Alcaraz.

Actually Alcaraz case is not even debatable, it would've been statistically impossible for him to become #1 to this day if only Wimbledon didn't do that stupid thing by removing points for what exactly reason? Let me remind you that they messed up so bad that at the US Open that year basically most of top 10 players were in the run for #1. Alcaraz not only because of that had YE #1 but already 30-40 weeks at #1, it was literally given to him. He would've got there eventually, but the way he got it was undeserved. While Sinner becoming #1 was also only a matter of time, he still only got it because Novak withdrew. WTA situation and the way so many players reached #1 over the past decade probably affected your opinion on this, but I've been following tennis for 2 decades now and the way both Alcaraz and Sinner got to #1 leaves a bitter taste when you had Wawrinka and Thiem being at #3 at some point with much more points.

fridayteenage Posted June 5 Posted June 5 gauff's 4th major semi ties osaka, though osaka won all 4 of those tournaments ties barty (with barty winning 3 of those tournaments) behind sabalenka & swiatek
jonapova Posted June 5 Posted June 5 Not sure how Paolini is getting this far in tournaments, she's very much the new Errani lol. Hoping for a Swiatek vs Sabalenka final. I'd love for Ruud to snatch a slam title, but wouldn't mind Sinner or Alcaraz winning either.

It's comical for a greatest tennis player of all time and the champion of the most GS titles where you have to play best of 5 sets to make a comeback from a set or two down? It's not comical, that's outstanding. That's the definition of physical and mental strength. And doing that at 37 years old. I'm sorry your hatred is actually clouding your judgment.

NoAngelus Posted June 5 Posted June 5 Sabalennka out too. I swear I've never seen luckier player in tennis than Swiatek and I've been following tennis for 2 decades. The way everything is simply given away to her. From #1 to GS titles...
