Sharapov Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 (edited) Evil dead rise is giving Netflix to me and why are all the actors australian? Was Innocents good or overhyped boring like The witch? Edited January 5, 2023 by Sharapov
Roman Holiday Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 The Terrifier franchise is kind of the new Hostel franchise. Objectively bad, cheap looking, and depraved but crazy gore effects you can't look away from.
Konril Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 The Menu is a serve. Love it so much. Anya did that, her character was also perceptive and smart.
Roman Holiday Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 I feel asleep during The Menu. Woke up to Anya eating a cheeseburger and was kinda glad I got a good nap in. Then I went and got a cheeseburger.
Roberto Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 (edited) Off Season was a mess, I know it has a low budget, but the story could have still had a better development. Kimi was surprisingly good (or entertaining at least). The ending was a bit abrupt but I'm happy with it. Edited January 6, 2023 by Roberto
Roberto Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 (edited) Watching Mr. Harrigan's Flop now. Let's see how it is. Edited January 6, 2023 by Roberto

genetic fail Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 Letterboxd’s Top 10 Highest Rated Horror Films of the Year: 1. Pearl 2. Nope 3. Bones and All 4. The Menu 5. Barbarian 6. You Won’t Be Alone 7. X 8. Fresh 9. Bodies Bodies Bodies 10. Saloum I wonder how close our list will be
SchmoodRing Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 Just here to remind everyone that The Grudge 2 (2006) was a huge misstep in what could've been a solid sequel in the franchise. Such a fantastic trailer only for the film to have such a terrible execution smfh also justice for SMG and Karen. If she was gonna get the chop they could've given her a proper and epic send off. Also I tried watching The Grudge 3 (2008) I should've known that it was gonna be trash since it went straight to DVD but god damn was it awful 😥 the concept of Kayako and Toshio haunting a whole apartment building should've been a ball in the park. Basically Ju:On meets Evil Dead Rise smfh Same goes for Rings. So much potential and material to work with yet no. Ugh.
Sharapov Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 (edited) Letterboxd: Barbarian - 3.7 and 1.3k fans Malignant - 3.1 and 669 fans ATRL in shambles @SchmoodRing The grudge 2 is not great but I enjoy it lol. The cast is great and it's kinda camp Edited January 6, 2023 by Sharapov

The Innocents was released in movie theaters in 2022, atleast here in Germany. And Run Sweetheart Run was also released in 2022 in Prime Video. The new Evil Dead Trailer looks awesome. „Mommy is with the maggots now.“ I got chills.

wantedyoutogrow Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 just finished m3gan. It was very fun, everybody in the theater seemed to enjoy it. I don't get the RT score tho, cause yeah the movie was good but it wasn't THAT good
Kevin2803 Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 This comes out on Peacock in a few days and looks quite good. Kevin Williamson is involved, so i am sure i will like it. I've read that it has some good chase scenes.

That was my sensation before watching 'Terrifier' based on the viral tweets, reason of why I didn't even want to watch them, but I changed my mind after watching, the purpose of both movies are very different, 'Hostel' movies were darker, more realistic also in the visual effects and graphic scenes, 'Terrifier' is very camp and unrealistic in the violent scenes, total different budget and production between the 2 franchises, 'Terrifier' is giving 80s b horror movies straight to VHS tribute also in the score which is what made me appreciate them at the end.
