NOT a Heartstopper stan dissing Barbarian :sistrens: I will reserve my judgement

Ooh so edgy for you to drag me over stanning a cute and simple sentimental gay show. Wow, you REALLY got me gal! :juanny:

As for your second comment, you can go ahead and judge me all you want. I cannot stress enough that your opinion truly doesn't mean **** to me and I will not lose sleep over it. :heart2:

Y‘all can watch these new movies, while there‘s nothing in my country ?

Dark Glasses was an experience :rip: i can't decide if it was terrible or a campy masterpiece. But it's certainly a ridiculous movie.

Dario Argento was supposed to be in the screening but he backed out last minute so only the lead actress was there. i felt bad for her cuz everyone kept laughing during "serious" moments :rip: she's a queen though and i loved her acting, it was c*nty. I do wonder if some of the comedy was intentional or not.

those who saw Whack Phone and Barbarian: how do the movies compare? I need to see who exactly is raving about Barbarians before I drag my ass to the theater

I'm so jealous, let me know what's your opinion on it :jonny5:

Just watched it and it was ok, it's good but not spectacular (I don't know why but I was expecting some Hereditary type of movie or at least similar and this is not that).

Spoiler

I was confused about why the movie was labeled as a horror movie and not supernatural horror, but after the twist and the explanation about THAT, yes, it is a horror movie.  That was actually a pretty cool twist and the story behind was actually disturbing and severely brutal.

I haven't watched Malignant. Is there some twist or something? I like horror movies with unexpecting twists. :gaycat2:

Soho is underrated. I gagged so hard with the twist. :jonny5:

Malignant is ….. echelons more interesting and surprising than what Barbarian served , but the plot pivot is comparable u could argue

again , no spoilers , but i will say Barbarian is HEAVILY relying on the element of surprise to goop and gag u in the same way that Malignant did , and in this user’s humble opinion Malignant was ECHELONS more effective at being genuinely surprising / interesting than what Barbarian served

Watched 'Black Phone' after y'all have been mentioned it and trashed it the past days (the 7 on both IMDB and Metacritic actually convinced me which is good for a horror movie).

It was good, maybe not a proper horror movie, more like a thriller, it could have been executed better by making it more dark and scary (this factor was the biggest missing of this movie imo but probably they made it that way to be more accesible by kids I suppose), nothing groundbreaking or never seen before but it was fine, enjoyable, the 7 on both imdb and MC makes sense.

Based on 'Titane' being first, which I absolutely agree, and other movies being correct like 'Nope' and 'X', I might used this list for my next watch, 'The Innocents' and 'Watcher' are next on my watch list.

And yes the last 'Scream' was a let down, and I'm saying this with loving the saga in general.

I have to wait for 'Barbarian' as well since I live near @The Witch but if it's good like 'Malignant', I'm already sold.

'Malignant' has been done wrong by both audience and critics, the movie being this low doesn't make sense when it's one of best horror of the last years, it would definitely deserve at least a +7 on Imdb, 75-77 on Metacritic like 'Nope' (at least).

I recently rewatched The Town That Dreaded Sundown (2014) and its still so good?

why does nobody ever talk about it? it has some amazing shots/cinematography too.
