sweetsexysavage Posted September 9, 2022 Posted September 9, 2022 Y‘all can watch these new movies, while there‘s nothing in my country ?
mokitsu Posted September 9, 2022 Posted September 9, 2022 Dark Glasses was an experience i can't decide if it was terrible or a campy masterpiece. But it's certainly a ridiculous movie. Dario Argento was supposed to be in the screening but he backed out last minute so only the lead actress was there. i felt bad for her cuz everyone kept laughing during "serious" moments she's a queen though and i loved her acting, it was c*nty. I do wonder if some of the comedy was intentional or not.
Bhabylon Posted September 9, 2022 Posted September 9, 2022 those who saw Whack Phone and Barbarian: how do the movies compare? I need to see who exactly is raving about Barbarians before I drag my ass to the theater

Spoiler I was confused about why the movie was labeled as a horror movie and not supernatural horror, but after the twist and the explanation about THAT, yes, it is a horror movie. That was actually a pretty cool twist and the story behind was actually disturbing and severely brutal.

Leptine Posted September 11, 2022 Posted September 11, 2022 Watched 'Black Phone' after y'all have been mentioned it and trashed it the past days (the 7 on both IMDB and Metacritic actually convinced me which is good for a horror movie). It was good, maybe not a proper horror movie, more like a thriller, it could have been executed better by making it more dark and scary (this factor was the biggest missing of this movie imo but probably they made it that way to be more accesible by kids I suppose), nothing groundbreaking or never seen before but it was fine, enjoyable, the 7 on both imdb and MC makes sense.

Men Umma Texas Chainsaw Massacre Based on 'Titane' being first, which I absolutely agree, and other movies being correct like 'Nope' and 'X', I might used this list for my next watch, 'The Innocents' and 'Watcher' are next on my watch list. And yes the last 'Scream' was a let down, and I'm saying this with loving the saga in general. I have to wait for 'Barbarian' as well since I live near @The Witch but if it's good like 'Malignant', I'm already sold.

Kid A Posted September 11, 2022 Posted September 11, 2022 (edited) I recently rewatched The Town That Dreaded Sundown (2014) and its still so good? why does nobody ever talk about it? it has some amazing shots/cinematography too. Scream and X still movies of the year btw Edited September 11, 2022 by Kid A
