Movies I've recently watched:

Devils Backbone (4/5): A very touching story which leaves a bitter taste at the end of watching it. You just feel bad for the kids and shocked about the evil & greed of others.

Elevator Game (2,5/5): was ok, a few good jumpscares but nothing special, maybe even kinda basic.

Honeydew (1/5): I was actually mad at myself for watching that one. The dialogue is ridiculous, the characters are hollow/non-existent and the whole movie is completely predictable.

Babadook (4/5): I watched this one years ago and decided to watch it again. Essie Davis performance is outstanding she embodies so many emotions and hurt. The ending is so touching. I think a lot of people who suffer from depression/grief can relate to this one.

The Void (3,5): The movie is plain chaos from the beginning lmao. So much gore and monsters!

Green Inferno (3,5/5): This one is kinda a guilty pleasure of mine and I don't even know why. The movie shouldn't take itself too seriously though.

Clovehitch Killer (4/5): I know it's not a horror movie, but I just liked it a lot. Even if you know what happens it's just so eerie.

The Watchers was....okay.
Great gowns, beautiful gowns (cinematography). It was way too long, final act was so boring, the plot twist was obvious 30 minutes into the movie.
I didn't hate it but it needed more oomph.

Tarot was so bad I couldn't even finish it :dies:

I cannot WAIT for Longlegs, it's giving Hereditary levels of iconic

I just got back from a Scream Unseen of The Exorcism and it was fine. I'm just not sure who's building demand for these types of movies anymore? The original Exorcist will remain supreme if for nothing else but the lore. I know this movie is its own thing and not part of the original franchise but it's intended to be in the same metaverse at least. Unless I misheard, they refer to the movie being made as a "remake" so it's well alluded. I find the trope a bit disinteresting.

Yeah. It looked pretty but the last like 20 minutes was lame. I would've liked a more mysterious angle instead of a pointless exposition but I feel like Ishana has hope as a director.

Ishana following her father's steps in serving good concept, mediocre execution.

The Smile 2 trailer pissed me off so much :rip:

I just know it's gonna be another predictable Western jump-scare filled Netflix Original'd movie, but will still be huge at the box office because American moviegoers have bad taste

@Reverse Warholian @Leptine

I still have to watch the first but they recently added it to Netflix so I will in a dead moment.

It wasn't even top 10 of 2023, yet still stomps on all 2024's releases so far :sistrens:

I've never turned a movie off because it was too dark but you literally can't see **** in Tarot :shakeno:

Spoiler

so I've stopped where the girl gets hanged and i feel this is when it should've clicked that it's due to the cards. They should've all assumed the second death was a suicide up to this point. terrible plot structure.
