It boasts impressive production quality which was something I felt was holding Terrified back a bit. The performances were solid, and there were particular graphic scenes in the movie that left such a vivid impression that they'll stay with me for some time The middle did sag somewhat due to the inconsistent ~rules~ within the storyline. The musical score also could have been improved. Rihgardless, I still remained engrossed throughout! One of the best horror films of the decade, and easily my #1 this year so far. I'll be keeping a close watch on Demian Rugna after this back-to-back Argentine excellence. David Gorda Gringo has GOT to be seething rn! 9/10 Anya Taylor-Joy's Argentina 1

It has its flaws but I found the premise so interesting. It's like if Hell House LLC and The Descent had a baby Bonus points for shooting in the actual Parisian catacombs, plus this cover art which might be one of my all time favs. Edited October 31, 2023 by Reverse Warholian

I can see Pearl getting #15'd in the 2020s rate just like your namesake film did. They Follow will go the Drag Me To Hell route and finish in 3rd place minimum! @lillavend3r Edited October 31, 2023 by Reverse Warholian 1 2

This had me palms sweaty knees spaghetti i was fully expecting a descent dupe but it ended up being so unique. I love that they went full on magic with it. Spoiler Girl they went straight to hell!!! Even the non-supernatural scares got me good. The guy getting stuck and having a panic attack literally made me squirm so much I knew it was going to be a ride from there Spoiler The car scene was a little cringe and too out of place but it went back to good stuff after

killer_rose Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 The As Above So Below stanning in here truly one of the scariest, most creative 10/10 horror movies of the last decade. 4
Vignesh Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 I just watched It Lives Inside and this was one of the better horror movies this year.
ICLDXU4HS Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 Whew, I had already watched it at home before but I’m glad I got to see Talk to Me at the theater earlier. Really damn good.
WildAmerican Posted November 1, 2023 Posted November 1, 2023 Just finished the new Halloween trilogy for the first time, Halloween > Kills > Ends Ends was sooo messy, corey basically being michael's intern was sooo Kills was brutal, Michael was MAD and 2018 was basically the same as the original lmao 1
Leptine Posted November 1, 2023 Posted November 1, 2023 Recently I realized I didn't watch Carpenter's 'The thing', for some reasons I thought I did it when I was little, the movie is the highest rated Horror one on Letterboxd and +8 on IMDB with a cult status, so I decided to check it, keep in mind it's a 40 years old movie so of course it can't be judged with modern parameters also when it comes to special effects that right now looks silly. The movie was good overall, for the time it was definitely amazing and groundbreaking. I would say it's in the same line of the first 'Alien', although 'Alien' was definitely superior also when it comes to visuals and special effects (it won an Oscar for that indeed).

Most of the special effects from The Thing still look amazing to me. Compare it to the horrible CGI of the 2011 version. 1
Gesamtkunstwerk Posted November 1, 2023 Posted November 1, 2023 Is the deadline still the 3rd ? I'll never be able to make it

rp662 Posted November 1, 2023 Posted November 1, 2023 As someone who never played and is invested in Five Nights at Freddy’s, it was pretty awful. In fact, it’s giving straight to streaming film and I wouldn’t be surprised if this was originally a peacock only film. Chica and her cupcake in particular were the stars of the movie.

I knew it was over when they all played and made a fort in the diner
genetic fail Posted November 1, 2023 Posted November 1, 2023 Sent my scores! Can't wait for the meltdowns when a certain film on my **** List fails to make the Top 10.
