Capris Groove Posted October 24, 2023 Posted October 24, 2023 I rewatched Sleepaway Champ this weekend, a groundbreaking masterpiece. The hillbilly drowner could never.
Miles. Posted October 24, 2023 Posted October 24, 2023 House Of Usher gagged every single horror movie released this year besides Talk To Me 3
killer_rose Posted October 24, 2023 Posted October 24, 2023 Randomly watched Final Destination 1 & 2. The second one slaps hard. 1

blackoutbritney Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 What did everyone think of child’s play 2019?

It's not a BAD film and I kinda like the AI robot idea (miss M3gan stole and outsold) but the film does not feel like a Chucky film in any sort of way and didn't need to a part of the series or use the name. I think the relationship between the mother and son works really well in this film, in particular. It falters when they try to create a Stranger Things / It crew that doesn't suit the film.

I can agree. I think it’s fun and a fresh take for sure tho
rooby.booby Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 The new Exorcist is so boring, so long for no reason, a true flop. You want to know even a bigger flop? It Lives Inside. I HATED it. 1

Lemon Posted October 25, 2023 Posted October 25, 2023 (edited) Child’s Play 2019 fails to capture interesting terror of the original Child’s Play. However, cast did a good job and brutal/kill scenes are attention-worthy and Chucky still felt engaging. And it’s not like original excels in any department specifically. I wouldn’t say M3gan is better anyhow though. Edited October 25, 2023 by Lemon

Everyone talks about the log scene, but what REALLY stuck with me was the water bottle under the break pedal. Anytime I have a bottle in my car, I make sure it’s placed securely away from my pedals.

Contends with Screech 6 and Ridiculous 5 for worst of the year. The first act had some alright spots so for that I'll give it a 3/10 instead of a 1. Spoiler Ellen Burstyn stabbing her eyes out and the out of place patriarchy line. They did her so dirty lmfao Edited October 25, 2023 by Reverse Warholian
