Pearl really deserved a M3gan level box office, but I guess she’s just too risky for the GO

I know the girls like to circlejerk over Mia Goth, but I'm actually upset he barely got any recognition this awards season

after the disservice he did to the art of acting in Don't Look Up, its what he deserves <3

Definitely! In 10+ years, Pear will become a cult classic. Such a unique and captivating movie

The Witch

Pearl and X are both excellence tbh. I hope MaXXXine keeps that same energy.

‘Weapons’ – ‘Barbarian’ Director Zach Cregger Sets Up Next Horror Movie With New Line Cinema!

Quote

New Line Cinema has acquired the original screenplay Weapons from the filmmaking team behind the award-winning horror hit Barbarian, BD has learned this afternoon.

Moving full speed ahead toward a theatrical release, production is anticipated to commence later this year. The upcoming Weapons is from writer/director Zach Cregger, who will also produce alongside his Barbarian producing team: Roy Lee of Vertigo and J.D. Lifshitz and Raphael Margules of BoulderLight Pictures. Vertigo’s Miri Yoon also produces.

The Hollywood Reporter teases, “Plot details for Weapons are being kept holstered but it is described as a multi and inter-related story horror epic that tonally is in the vein of Magnolia, the 1999 actor-crammed showcase from filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson.”

Just finished The Menu and really enjoyed. Ari Aster is really the blueprint of contemporary horror.

I don’t get why everyone’s saying this. The only similarity to his movies is there’s a cult. The filmmaking style and tone is completely different and it’s way more GP-friendly and accessible.

Same. The Menu was cute, but it felt  like a Rían Johnson film to me

Candy Land - 6.5

I can tell the director has promise but not everything lands in this horror flick. Some good and creative ideas, but I think there's a better film in the future from whomever made this, but this wasn't quite there yet.
