Sprawl Posted August 26, 2022 Posted August 26, 2022 With good writing this tournament could’ve been the greatest of the anime overall and they turned it into a Leon ego fest I was not a fan of Alain sweeping the Kalos league but that was at least different because those were regular trainers, not the literal regional CHAMPIONS. Whoever green lit what we’ve gotten so far should be embarrassed.

UnusualBoy Posted August 26, 2022 Posted August 26, 2022 I'm not the biggest Diantha fan but this episode was a disgrace, half of the episode was Ash and Co chasing those kids to watch that flop pokemon evolve and then that disaster of a fight is just ridiculous, how did that ******* Rillaboom took a fireblast, how? and how did it sweep Diantha's team? The more episodes I see of Leon, the more I hate him, there's no reason for him to be that overpowered, it's just straight up plot armor. I know Ash won't beat his ass but I pray he does, I really really do.

Tumbleweed better be Special or Fast. Also that match Dragapult being hit by Hawlucha's punch, & Tyrantrum's hyper beam but Gourgeist being KO'd by a grass move, & Rillaboom taking no damage from a Fire Blast after fighting 3 Pokemon before and yet somehow Ash will make this Mary Sue use his whole team Is Journey's universally known as the WORST gen of of the anime? At least Kaloser had her universally acclaimed anime SWSH not only somehow managed to be a worse game than XY, but her anime is worse than BW's too Ash is beating Cyn i think. I saw someone say an animag said Ash was using all 3 gimmicks this tournament. And he's used Z-move (pika) & Mega (luca), so

It also seems that eggs will no longer take a spot up in your party & will be handled elsewhere. I do prefer this to mindless cycling around, but I hope there’s a time-skip loophole to speed up the process. Still no idea how we’re getting the eggs to begin with, my guess it’s via a “camp” like feature, where 2 eligible mons will make an egg appear. Edited August 27, 2022 by FOCK

Cruel Summer Posted August 27, 2022 Posted August 27, 2022 The sad part about Leon being such a weird Mary Sue situation is that he’s… not even that good? Like in the games, I mean. He’s just not good. His best team, thanks to type coverage and actually having a full party, is the Rillaboom team during the champion fight, and, well… it’s just not an actual challenge, even when the player is underleveled. Iris, Caitlin, Grimsley, Marshal, and Shauntal stomp him. Kukui, Hau, Lusamine, and Gladion all stomp him. Barry, Lucian, Aaron, Bertha, and Flint pulverize him. Lance could sweep him with ease, and I’m pretty sure Agatha would make quick work of him. Steven would breeze right by him, especially Emerald and ORAS Steven. I don’t think I even have to point out how Red and Blue would do. Ghetsis would probably only have to use his first Pokémon. Volo could battle circles around him. N has multiple teams, one for every season, that could shame that purple-wigged loser. Wally, the literal actual sickly child, could crush him. And of Cynthia grinds him into absolute dust. And I’m not even listing probably two dozen other NPCs. Like, he is not good. Maybe that’s part of why I dislike him so much - it’s not just that he’s clearly wearing a weird wig, or that his capitalist cape is gaudy as hell, or that he forces the player out of plot points, or that he’s the literal antithesis of humility, or that it feels like he was written to appeal to four-year-olds. It’s that he also just plain sucks major balls - he was not a challenge and dozens of others in the series were more challenging and could beat him with ease. If you’re going to sell me a game where half the premise is “omg the unbeatable champion Leon and his unbeatable Charizard who have literally never lost!” - then maybe actually make the battle with him some kind of challenge? But what do I know. Anyway that’s my Leon soapbox for the day! Back to hunting this stupid pretty Latios.

Cruel Summer Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 I'm pausing my Latios hunts to start a new file of Legends (so I can get to the point where I can also shiny hunt there) and I forgot how great this game is. Seriously, best in the series since at least Emerald, they really hit hard. Maybe I'll give Scarlet and Violet a chance after all - at least the "three stories" thing sounds like it could be promising. But I really, really hope GF learns from how much fans loved Legends - even if it hasn't sold quite as well as SwSh, probably due to being released so soon after BDSP - for mechanics in future games. I get why some things are missing from SV since they shared dev time, but I'll be looking for more in whatever the next titles are.

Still no idea how we’re getting the eggs to begin with, my guess it’s via a “camp” like feature, where 2 eligible mons will make an egg appear. this would be cool but only if there is no limit to the amount of eggs in incubation. why do they have to do the most all they had to do was slash egg cycles in half across the board . and give us on uninterrupted route that would equal like 5000 steps going one way maybe put some nice scenery and dynamic npc pokemon in it to spice up the trek im worried about EV training. All they had to do was triple EV yields to 3/6/9 instead 123 but i just know its gonna be some mess
