most megas were pretty similar to the og mon + spikes but megas were cool and basically "added" upon the mon, the philosophy of regional forms were changing what was already there. guess we'll see.

I been saying it since SM when i heard mainline games had 3 year dev cycles, but i didn't really have proof. Thankfully GF held a presentation today & confirmed PLA & SV were both in dev for a lil over 3 years. So once again, it's not a TIME issue. It's a TALENT issue. 

 

Currently the popular excuse for SV not including PLA's superior battle system (headtracking, contact, LR controls, seamless) is cuz PLA started dev earlier... by 4 months  so you're telling me in the other 32 months u shared development u could not take over those features? Especially when Masuda explicitly said he's keeping GF's untalented team small so that they can communicate with each other easier  SV's battle system is obviously an Ohmori'd choice

Joe said he was excited for this presentation cuz it would shut the "reused models" people up... but GF plainly said yes, we had the same future proof models since XY & reused them  GF Models Director Maezawa: "Pokemon models are stored for a consistent use, & are then tailored to each new game" but somehow Twitter is saying this means GF was right all along  how exactly? PLA i can understand, but SWSH?  Even datamined SWSH only showed extremely minor, unseeable, "tailoring"  for Lucario & Glaceon

And the worst thing about this is that these “future-proofed” models are ugly as hell and objectively just ruin several designs that looked infinitely better in literally all the sprite generations. Those models might honestly be the worst part of modern Pokémon - they’re a decade old without having gotten any better besides, like, correcting whether the Typhlosion line’s fire is always on and other such tiny changes. Plus the texturing went to hell in SV (and any time it rains in PLA )

I'm glad many of my faves will be on SV: Dnite, Ttar, Lucario, Ampharos, Scizor, Breloom, Garchomp and most likely Latias when the legendaries get released as usual but I hope I hope Greninja is there too! It's been 3 games in a row without it. I hear protean will be nerfed so maybe there are chances it's gonna be there unless this is just for Keckleon or one of the new pokemon...

The only favorites I’m missing confirmation on are the Togepi line (I heard a rumor that they’re not in but can’t find a leak that confirms this), the Roselia line, and the Eon twins. I also expect the latter group to be available along with DLC at least, maybe even the base game’s postgame.

The episode was even more DISGUSTING than I thought it would be  not only did they have Rillaboom take out FOUR of her mons including AURORUS and TYRANTRUM but they also had him miraculously resisting a f****** FIRE BLAST like it was nothing  the writers should be FIRED!
