grass types really got the short end of the stick in gen 3 huh.

 

Strongest single turn grass move in the game being 70 base power attack coming off a pokemon with 105 in SPA (hes still cool tho)

Bullet Seed only having max 50 bp  

Giga Drain 60 BP and only 5 pp

Solarbeam is one my fav moves but i never really used it in non-ubers enviroment until like gen v thanks to ninetales  well that and stadium

 

GF obsession with 60 BP in the early games was a weird one

 

at least cradily is an icon and queen roselia made her debut

Khu: posted "Dought Electric Terrain"  i hope it's PF Volcarona's ability, but people also speculate KoraiMirai, which don't make sense to me. A sun having Electric Terrain is as thematic as Drought .

 

Kaka: the cute Pokemon with the hammer is  & is 3 stage  Cetitan deserved this insta OU typing

 

This is likely the most accurate dex of new pkmn rn  fish sounds so cool.

Khu also said he expects people to complain about how so much of the dex is full of "form-like new pkmn" 

Also... he said expect something from Ed Sheeran in SV

Fairy/Steel is possibly the best typing ever, but I'm already definitely using the Poison/Steel engine 'mon so. 

 

Team so far is:

 

Fuecoco -> Fire/Ghost

Engine 'mon -> Poison/Steel

Sushi Dragon -> Dragon/Water 

A Flying type (maybe the Electric/Flying one)

 

possible:

Fidough/another Fairy for that Dragon/Steel/Fairy core

A Grass type for that Fire/Water/Grass core

The Ice/Dragon pseudo if it's cute

 

Also I'm perched for the Coin 'mon and Primeape's evo, but I don't think I'll be using them on my team. I'm dying to see them already though. And the fact we still have the paradox forms or whatever, I can't.

The fact that we still don't have some other Steel combinations (and this is the first Gen we have one with Poison), but Fairy has gotten one every gen since its inclusion in Gen 6. 

 

I really want a non-legend Fire/Steel Pokemon. 

 

Also the Coin mon has got to be Ghost/Steel or else I'm afraid Ohmori is gonna have to catch these hands.

I’ve decided I want to beat the Emerald Battle Frontier, all gold symbols, with a team of:

 

- Togetic

- Gardevoir

- Latias

 

The only other Pokémon that fit the team aesthetic I want are Altaria, shiny Latios, and maybe Zangoose. Altaria and Zangoose seem too weak for the Frontier (even compared to Togetic) and Shiny Latios would be a severe pain to get (the only save hacking I’m willing to do is giving myself the Eon Ticket and generating a Togepi egg since I can’t trade - I want this to be a legitimate attempt).

 

Do y’all think I have a shot or am I dead to the first Gengar that crosses my path?

gardevoir can handle gengar lol. your team is good but it depends on how you plan on setting them up. Zangoose is strong in the 3v3 format especially if you give him a choice band but taunt support is good too with the all of the foolishness abound in the BF 

 

gengar isnt the issue with this team. its actually shedinja lol 

 

i am doing the same thing too and its fun.

I forgot Shedinja existed for a second, oh no  I’ll need to be super careful to have one of its weaknesses on an offensive move at all times, then.

 

I haven’t done much planning at all really - just picking the five, maybe six Pokémon that I’d like to use purely for favoritism reasons! The most thinking I’ve done is knowing that if I don’t try to get the shiny Latios, I’ll have to rely on some careful EV training and move selection to have even a tiny chance outside the Factory.

its worth remembering that the movesets GF gave the pokemon in the BF are rather tragic  . i recommend as you play to use bulbapedia's list of BF pokemon so you can get the jump on things, since they already know your team comp . its doable with any pokemon as long as you plan correctly for foolishness/type coverage but the planning stage is the most fun  raising up some new teams now for use in the facilities as we speak
