OT: excited to get the other ultra beasts in go! was hoping we'd get more news on Pokemon Live (the new tcg game) but i guess that's just been delayed indefinitely 

SV look amazing though. definitely getting Violet the purple cyber futuristic dragon just looks so cool to me! the new battle mechanic also looks pretty and interesting! It's basically dynamax but more interesting and pretty with the crystalized pokemon, compared to "this pokemon is now 10x bigger with a red cloud" compared to the other battle mechanics, i'd say it's better than gmax and z moves and maybe close to or on par with megas, i'll need to see more of it first and how it works before i make a final decision though 

this game feels like what GF wanted SwSh to be, what it could've been had they maybe given it some more time, and i'm really excited for it's release! with this game, Sonic Frontiers AND Bayo3 coming out in the fall/winter time, my wallet will NOT survive

I think cotton candy and whipped cream make a bit more sense than a dog made out of bread 

 

But that brings up a bigger issue I was getting at: why 90% of the time a food mon = fairy

They removed more QOL stuff from PLA. 

1. EXP animation outside of battles
2. new moves not interrupting your gameplay

 

It has to be a Masuda2 problem  PLA did everything in its powah to make battles less tedious, that's clearly under a directors control.

Also, is this the worst UI we've ever had? Those atrocious HP Bars, & the move selection

was looking at who's the director and it was daddy kazumasa. no wonder it's the best looking switch pokemon game because anything directed by SH!Tgeru looks like ****.

Ugh. I wish the type crystals were just hovering or floating over the mon’s heads, like Dynamax clouds, rather than sprouting out of them. It looks stupid.

STAB2 = 2X damage, not 2.25X

All Pokémon have 18 Tera types, not only Eevee.

Your actual Type changes so u lose/gain Weaknesses & Resistances

New universal Move that solves movepool issues, if Tera form lacks STAB.

 

 

He also said icon  has a prevo... please be a 3 stage then  not that she doesn't already look like a final stage... but that typing

I can’t believe they somehow downgraded Dynamax in terms of looks.
 

The battle implications are very interesting tho with added or new types for certain mons to have access to. 

 

S/N: Gen 7’s regional form gimmick stomps on Gen 6 and is still being used in other regions btw so give it up Kalosers, you’re second place or last as always.

I have loved this series for over two decades, and I loved PLA and really pushed everyone I talked with to give it a chance.

 

This trailer, however looked downright abominable. It was breathtaking, in many ways - just not good ones. I honestly think the game looks graphically worse than PLA did, in part probably due to this style being suited for PLA’s art direction, and I think it sounds conceptually blander than wet toast.

 

Maybe there’s some magic there that I’m not seeing, though - I’m not here to ruin anyone’s fun. I truly hope that those who are excited for this game are able to enjoy it and have a great experience. For me, I think this will be the first time I don’t get a Pokémon game on day one since I was like six.

As a competitive concept i like it more than Z-moves or Dynamax.

Monotypes, & horrible Dualtypes benefit more than average/good Dualtypes, &  gets its flowers.

I could be wrong once actual competitive starts tho  maybe people will prefer to use it on already broken mons

 

As a visual concept tho... it's ******* hideous. How does Quaxly not fall over
