Have y'all been finding the animation lackluster  the potato Diantha fight, & the Cynthia preview doesn't look it either

Was XY's tournament this bad? i don't watch the anime so idk. I guess they could be saving budget for Ash vs Cynthia

Tea, though he has always been stronger than Iris. She just made it into the Masters 8 before him, because Ash had to deal with fillers and distractions along the way (Goh)

The animation was perfect throughout the entire XY/XYZ series. The only complaint some people had about the tournament was how rushed it was prior to Ash vs Sawyer.

XY animation was great, they used stock animations but they had 3d backgrounds that made battles dynamic and with lot of choreography. Pikachu vs. Aegislash and vs. Tyranitar were a slay.

I'm really irritated at the way these games have probably one of the biggest dex, the biggest pool of gimmicks and a great background story, and we're getting LESS promotional content than ever. Like, you have tons of new info, just make a damn trailer

It was obvious that Diantha was gonna win because Lance had already lose to Leon but at least he gave a good battle and it's confirmed that Dragonite is still his ace and the fact that he took a blizzard, rock slide and moonblast like a champion, king

She already won. To me, she now ranks first of all the pokegirls.

 

1) Iris - Became Unova’s champion, managed to accomplish one of her dreams of getting Axew to evolve all the way, ranking as the 7th best trainer in the PWC.

2) May - Evolved her Eevee, Venasaur and Wartortl. By the time she came back for the Wallace Cup she was famous enough for Dawn to recognize her, and during Serena’s return she mentioned the costume Chloe was wearing was the very same that the Princess of Hoenn wore once, making a big deal out of it. Her seiyuu being retired plays against her being 1.

3) Serena - Evolved Braixen to Delphox and is becoming a big name in the Super Contests scene along with Lisia.

4) Misty - Managed to control Gyarados, Can now mega evolve.

5) Lillie - Got her father back.

6) Dawn, Mallow, Lana - Did absolutely nothing.

The whole “4 gimmicks” thing seems overly complicated. 

 

If the new mechanic has anything to do with type changes or organic/artificial Pokémon, I hope it’s represented visually, but I can’t see them putting in that effort for every mon in the game & it also renders regional forms obsolete.
