Chromatica Posted October 13, 2024 Posted October 13, 2024 (edited) Most Kalos Pokémon were designed for BW2 The hate for BW made them include old Pokémon in BW2 and save the new designs they made for XY Megas were originally fusions for BW2, Mega Mewtwo was meant as a fusion form for BW2. The hate for "new Pokémon only" during BW made them reduce the number of new ones in XY and made them focus on Kanto pandering and also to skip Gen 5 megas. Edited October 13, 2024 by Chromatica 5

Now it makes sense why Kalos had such a small number of new Pokemon compared to its predecessors It's also funny to think about how dexit would've happened such a long time ago if it wasn't for western fans pushing it back

Considering all this old and new information, we can say that B/W's poor international reception basically led to B2/W2 bringing back lots of old Pokémon new designs from B2/W2 being used for X/Y instead X/Y being massively revamped while they were still in development, including all the Kanto-pandering X/Y's original story that included: actual aliens (AZ and Valerie; Diantha being some sort of alien leader; Xerneas and Yveltal being extraterrestrial life forces as well, but instead of being the Ultimate Weapon's power source, they were the weapon), Mega Evolution being hinted to be some kind of out-of-space energy (and apparently Mega Stones being pieces of AZ's spaceship), Deoxys being connected to Mega Evolution and both Deoxys and Mega Evolution sharing the DNA/double-helix theme, and Professor Sycamore being exposed to extraterrestrial energy, which led to an alien taking control over him (Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hide but make it Sycamore and Lysandre – yes they were supposed to be the same person) all the obviously cut content (e.g. the four power plants, but also riding Pokémon, which was only properly used in gen 7) the cut X/Y alien themes instead being used for other games (OR/AS's Delta Episode and obviously the Alola games) So basically, Americans and Europeans not liking Garbodor, Vanilluxe and Klingklang threw Game Freak off so badly that almost all their future games turned out to be kinda crap. 5

I know it will logically be the 100% tho Also apparently ZA was supposed to come out 2024, but Nintendo asked for the delay to launch it with the Switch 2. Allegedly. There's so many fake leaks mixed with the real ones.
