If its Lets Go Johto I wonder how theyll choose to ruin it? Probs by doing a remake of the original Gold and Silver instead of Heart Gold and Soul Silver. LMAO. The very limited pokedex, no future evolutions, They'll delete Kanto cuz it would be too overwhelming for the kids. x_X

Why would anyone want another let’s go instalment. The inability to battle wild pokemon was awful.

I mean I kinda get it, visually it’s the absolute best they’ve made on the switch. 
 

To me though, Legends had the best gameplay and replay value. It’s what I’ve wanted out of a Pokémon game since I was a child, and everything from catching wild Pokémon, to how the game progresses, was completely seamless. Then again, I’d be okay waiting until the switch 2 if that means better and smoother graphics (even tho that’s a pipe dream and we’re gonna be stuck with 3DS textures the rest of our lives because of how well these modern games are selling)

Agreed about legends, I still think completing the Pokédex the legends way should be standard across all games. That way you actually have to use them all and they’re not just there collecting dust the second you catch them.

As one of the three people on earth who would actually love Let’s Go Johto, I’m pretty certain I’m getting myself worked up over nothing and the screenshot above is just a very convincing fake.  But I’d love Let’s Go Johto. I’d prefer a Legends Celebi sort of deal, but if I’m not getting that because Unova (presumably) is getting the flagship title treatment, then a Let’s Go style game is a much better choice than the headache-inducing BDSP chibi format. LGPE, for all their faults, did look basically perfect as Kanto remakes.
 

In this case, I don’t think it’s necessarily a big deal to keep it to the classic 251, and while I would prefer the option to have normal wild encounters, even the Let’s Go encounter mechanic isn’t a big deal to me. It honestly kind of fits fine with the very calm, laid back nature of Johto as a setting anyway. Maybe also don’t power-creep the starters this time and keep battles at the same level of difficulty as GSC. If they do that and just keep some of the enhancements from Crystal and maybe HGSS, and please dear god leave the Battle Tower in there, then a Johto-based Let’s Go game would immediately be in my top three from the last fifteen years with HGSS and Legends. Like, it’s really hard to go wrong with Johto if they just give us the bare minimum of what was already present in Crystal, and the entire point of LGPE was remaking Yellow specifically so that seems possible, at least.

 

I don’t know. I’m going into the next few weeks prepared to hear zero news about Johto at all so that I’m not disappointed. Or maybe worse, another deformed chibi ILCA monstrosity - but I might even be happy with that over nothing.

I’d rather have Let’s Go Johto instead of Gen 5 remakes developed by ILCA 

 

Legends Kyurem would be a slay but I doubt it would drop this year. They might announce it with a Jan/Feb release similar to Arceus though
