But it does have some mechanics that Pokemon should include in the future. The catching mechanic is so quick, unlike the current Pokemon games where it takes forever to do anything. Even more seamless than Legends Also the pals actual have a purpose outside of battle. Unlike Pokemon where mons rot in the box for all eternity 1

Farigiraf has become so good recently, he's seen so much usage and maybe that has to do with the low usage for Entei/Dnite/Pao cores in these past regionals. Also W-Ogerpon is doing better than ever, right behind Flutter.

He’s a big sweetheart honestly even though sometimes he makes the WORST decisions as council leader and sounds pretentious when he explains it on Twitter.

No new Pokémon, no Megas, no Raids, no regional variants etc., it's very much the original game, but on the Switch. If you're fine with that, I honestly think you'll have a great time with it. Regarding which version to pick – just check out this list of version exclusives and get whichever one you like better.
