Regional Tauros is still a bull Raichu is still a mouse Darmanitan is a still a gorilla Convergent Dugtrio is now some eels Tentacruel is now a mushroom GF making it up as they go. Convergents are objectively WORSE than Regionals too, just because they do everything Regionals do, except change the stats. 3

While I agree that convergents are kinda pointless when the concept of regionals is already there, to my understanding, regionals adapt to a region while convergents came to be under different circumstances than the originals (therefore making them different species) but somehow ended up looking similar
