Cruel Summer Posted July 20, 2023 Posted July 20, 2023 Replaying ORAS - mostly to get my favorite Pokémon, shiny Latios in a Premier Ball - right now and I just had to say… the Gen 6 graphical style aged miserably, didn’t it? Like the game in general has held up sooo much less nicely than just regular old Ruby and Sapphire, not to mention Emerald, just because it looks so much worse. 3 1

I tried it yesterday and I DIDN'T REMEMBER HOW SHITTY THIS BATTLE SYSTEM WAS. His mons attacking me THREE TIMES in a row? The ****. What are some tips against him? I'm all ears.

Helped make the game actually challenging in a time when most other new Pokémon games are pushover-easy due to the normal combat system being less resilient to the over-leveling caused by the new mandatory Exp. Share, giving you ridiculous friendship boosts in trainer battles, removing battle facilities or making them a Leon-led clown show, etc. 1

I remembered, the fainted frequency was more often there

I'd wager the Gen 6 art style is the best ever in the Pokémon franchise along with PLA
