qurl Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 Yup, i still have not made it to the first (whatever the evil team name’s base is bc it’s literally been that long and i forgot what they’re called) in Scarlet and have no intention or desire of picking it back up again and am still very very underwhelmed by the look of the DLC wow …… Scarlet kinda ended my love of the Pokemon mainline games ….. sad huh 2

After being underwhelmed with every new mainline game since the jump to 3D (Gen 7 wasn't bad, just the excessive cutscenes killed replayability which made it kind of forgettable) I had a lot of fun in my Violet playthrough. It helped that I experienced virtually no glitches and the only noticeable framerate drop was in common places like Lagtree Thicket and Vaultin' Veluza Lake. DLC could be better, but I'm probably going to get it anyways to help add some newness when I replay later this year (this is the first time since Gen 5 that I've wanted to do a replay of a new mainline game, mind you)

JoeRobert Posted June 22, 2023 Posted June 22, 2023 The new trailer really gave very little, I’m sure it’s not that small but the new bio dome thing looked a little basic and like another wild area. I’d really just love another legends game, it felt so fresh whereas s/v felt like a step back. I know it was essentially open world but it looked terrible and keeping with the same mechanics just made it so much easier to complete. I loved that in legends you had to really utilise every single Pokémon on the dex to complete it, not just trade it in from home and forget it was ever there.
