Took me TWO days to find shiny goomy using level 3 Dragon Encounter Sparkle Power dragon, AND the shiny charm. What the hell

 

On the plus side I just caught one and still had time left and immediately got shiny bagon and dratini as well, patience was rewarded. I’m afraid to hunt full odds anymore in the older games, Violet is spoiling me with all these quick hunts

Def preferred using my Cynthia team. This one was super one dimensional hyper offence, like trAsh They were all pretty equally useful though.

Sceptile (non Mega) got used the least, but when i did Unburden was pivotal. 

AshGren as OP as she is did about as much as everyone else

Pikachu is surprisingly very good

I’ve always wanted an open-world Pokémon game (or anything as close to the anime world as possible), so I never thought I’d say this but: I don’t want more open-world Pokémon games  I realized I prefer structure, and I don’t like feeling overwhelmed (which is something that typically happens when I play an open-world game). My first play through of Scarlet was enjoyable, as all my first play throughs of Pokémon games tend to be, but I’m struggling through my second play through of Violet. I’m not as immersed.

just beat Mela and after two of these I kinda don’t like the Team Star battles, like no experience for anything? Battling the runts in mindlessly easy. Revavroom rolled like half my team again tho which I do appreciate. I thought Mela was a server until I saw her walking in those boots not much had changed on my team but Smoliv evolved and Dolliv is a cute icon. Wattrel evolved too thank god, poor bird was pitiful

The performance is still a mess, there’s been one patch but it was mostly for online bugs. Don’t expect any big performance patches for a while if ever. The game is still fun even with the performance issues

Beat Orthworm last night, high jump seems USELESS but w/e, I’m just ready for Fly/climb. Mankey evolved into Primeape but besides that my team is still the same.

I thought Ability Patched Pokémon couldn’t pass on HAs. Did they change this?

Not sure if they have changed it or now. I had no idea ability patch existed in previous games lol (I knew of Ability capsule but not ability patch). 

 

But anyway, ability patched mons can pass HAs at least in this game

I think Ability Patch was introduced with Crown Tundra. Anyway, good to know!
