You can't do the Star or Legends route without doing the Gym route if u wanna continue catching Pokemon

They wanna make the game ridiculously easy, but catching a Lvl 60 early is not allowed  I rather they make a hard game, & remove capture level.

But I was thinking of doing the Path of Legends first since the stupid Sushi Dragon is on that one. Not them FORCING me to do the Gyms if I wanna catch it.  How the **** is that ''open'' world 

 

And it's a single stage too so it's not like I can catch a pre-evo with a lower level if I even managed to get to its area earlier in the game. 

 

If it turns out the game lets me catch it at a lower level on something like an obscure location or by a very rare spawn then that's less bad, but still...

TF? I didn’t realise/forgot SwSh had catchability tied to badge number. I got wiped out by an overleveled Machamp once & never bothered trying it early game again.  
 

I don’t see the fun in playing with over-levelled mons, but would it kill them to have at least provided the option for speedrunners etc. Especially if you’re going to brand it an “open world” & market the “freedom” to play as you like. Just add a toggle to allow/disable for the kids that aren’t too bright.

Me neither, i boxed all my over levelled PLA mons. I was thinking more like being able to build your perfect team before even the 1st Gym. Experienced players would be able to go to farther areas & catch 6 Pokemon they want, breed them, & have a full team of Lvl 1s to play through the whole game with. Capture Level just redefines what an Early Route Pokemon is now  What's the point of open exploration, if i can't catch beyond where i'm supposed to be
