Cruel Summer Posted February 27 Share Posted February 27 I was just thinking about how much I’d like to see Johto again, then saw the hot Reddit thread of the day is basically more whining about the Johto level curve, and decided that maybe I don’t want to deal with that all over again! I really wish fans could get it through their heads that you don't have to be the same level as an NPC to battle them and that both effort values and badge boosts make your team substantially stronger than NPC teams of a comparable level. You can beat the Elite Four in GSC with nothing at or over level 40, and you can even beat Red with nothing at or above level 50. Johto’s level curve is near-perfectly designed to facilitate a decent challenge without being too difficult for younger audiences to manage and without actually needing to grind, but people just want to steamroll the whole game and have it handed to them. So given that, would BW remakes be developed by a company with a similar JP name to Intimidate? I did find one company in Japan that uses the English Intimidate in the name.
