Ewan Chaos Posted September 26 Posted September 26 5 minutes ago, Danger said: Great ideas, thank you!! I would prob get Echos with my voucher depending on how reviews go and wait for a sale/discount on LA Well I really enjoyed BOTW & TOTK, I'll definitely check it out then thanks Good call! I was just thinking too, Link's Awakening goes on sale much more often as a physical than digital game, so I definitely think it's good to not use your voucher on it. Though even then you wouldn't want to use your voucher on a digital game that's on sale Can't wait to play Echoes after work!!

Katamari Posted September 26 Posted September 26 omg i was able to buy the game online and have it sent and downloaded to my switch oh wow they ended sony
Puttanesca Posted September 27 Posted September 27 Echoes is saurrrr much fun but I'm looking forward to getting the sword upgrade lol. Watching enemies fight together is not it. Also was not expecting the intro to be what it was. Miss his way of fighting already 1
Eternium Posted September 27 Posted September 27 Sometimes I hate that Zelda went mainstream because some of y'all have truly awful takes on the series.

The only tedious part I found so far is the awful menu navigation they used in TOTK. I don't know why they didn't bother optimizing it after all the complaints If you've played and enjoyed ALLTP, ALBW, LA, and/or Minish Cap then you might enjoy this. The game feels closer to a 2D Zelda game than a 3D one imo. The only BOTW/TOTKisms I found are the mechanics, UI, and the creative way of solving puzzles. I suggest playing up to the second/third dungeon before deciding if you want to continue or not. 1
Rence Posted September 27 Posted September 27 Some thoughts after playing for more than 5 hours: The combat can be a hit or a miss for some. Echo fighting forces you to strategize or just spam that one good echo which I understand can be frustrating for others but I find it very fun. I just imagine I'm a Pokemon trainer using my team to fight the wild mons. Puzzles are tricky but some of them are designed to be solved by the echoes found nearby. You can't cheese your way out sometimes which is refreshing after playing BOTW and TOTK. The first dungeon was quite basic but the second one I did gave me war flashbacks Overall I'm having fun especially in the overworld and Spoiler mini dungeons So far I think this could be in my top 3 of 2D Zeldas after ALBW and Minish Cap
Jotham Posted September 27 Posted September 27 I am playing EOW and enjoying it so far. I hope this becomes a thing now, where we regularly get LoZ games of Zelda being the main hero. Spoiler Imagine a 3D one occurring right after the downfall ending of OoT, where learn about how Zelda and the other Sages send Ganondorf back to the Dark World
Rence Posted September 27 Posted September 27 One thing I've noticed that other reviews didn't mention is that the game has quite a lot of m dialogue compared to previous games. I hope it doesn't get annoying throughout the whole game.
Dylangaga Posted September 27 Posted September 27 (edited) Played for about 2 hours and I'm enjoying it. My stoned ass didn't realize I had to run away in the beginning and got sucked into a rift The Echoes are fun to use especially the rocks! Edited September 27 by Dylangaga 1
Katamari Posted September 27 Posted September 27 (edited) Zelda talks all of the time but suddenly when she's the protagonist she's mute and can't stand up for herself? interesting queen impa tho Edited September 27 by Katamari 6
Kern Posted September 27 Posted September 27 (edited) I'm about to get my copy Edited September 27 by Kern

dabunique Posted September 27 Posted September 27 da people who i kno dat have played it can't stop raving how its so good
Rune Posted September 27 Posted September 27 (edited) I've been cruising through most of the game in that it's easy and so are the puzzles until I got to Spoiler the Faron Wetlands. I got stuck on trying to get a heart piece without the rod. I eventually got it but now I'm stuck in another puzzle in the Wetlands trying to get a Might Fragment underwater. I cannot figure this out. Edit: oh my god never mind I just figured out how to do it. maybe that's not exactly the way they had in mind but we take these. Edited September 27 by Rune 1
Kern Posted September 27 Posted September 27 Omg I usually could not care less about the performance but girl Unless the patch fixes it cause I didn't download it yet
Eóghan Posted September 27 Posted September 27 same I'm not the kind to ***** about framerate but good god is this game unstable. like we at the end of the switch cycle and they still cannot give us a stable 30fps. i'd be even happy if the game was locked at 20fps.
Rence Posted September 27 Posted September 27 The game keeps getting better the more I play it but the item navigation keeps getting worse. Why can't they just add a Favorites list 1
artc0cx Posted September 27 Posted September 27 I haven't had any performance issues, im really enjoying the game and im glad old puzzle zelda is back, omw to the second dungeon
Magickarp Posted September 27 Posted September 27 Gonna start in 30 mins. I think convincing myself to play this like a Pokemon trainer might help. If this was done in Octopaths artstyle i would've started it long ago tho Also, I just put my Switch to the TV for the first time in months, & lordT. Coming from the PS5, the home screen looks like vaseline was smeared all over it. It wasn't the Switch's fault tho. I usually have the Switch at a different TV setting than the PS5, but i reset my TV 3 months ago & it didn't save the Switch settings. The way I have to set Sharpness all the way to 50, for the ******* HOME SCREEN to even look 1080p tho. I miss my Pre-PS5 days when i couldn't tell what good image quality & FPS were Having a shitty 2009 TV also helped Gonna try and play with some Frame Interpolation to see if that fixes the 30 fps dips Not sure if it'll work tho. I know it can make 30fps, 60fps. But unstable 60fps, idk. If y'all are playing on an LG or Samsung TV i think they both have those settings. 1
Magickarp Posted September 27 Posted September 27 I'm still very early, but wait at me stanning the Pokemon Trainer system I feel like Mei Mei spawning 3 Zubats around me at all times Even the gif subtitle is accurate
Sazare Posted September 27 Posted September 27 On the fence about getting this i really haven't picked up my Switch in ages
Puttanesca Posted September 28 Posted September 28 The way link didn't stand a chance against me and my neopets. Back to the depths you go *****!
