NumbSoul Posted March 17 Posted March 17 Congrats Sethlas I can appreciate that they tried new things for the finale, but I can't really say I enjoyed them... Though they were the best parts of the episode, even the lipsyncs and runways were slightly disappointing. The Sethlas x Hornella lipsync was the highlight of the episode for me. Sethlas' last look was cute too (before she tore 99% of it off ). I personally am happy with Sethlas winning. Despite slight payola, she clearly ate this season both in the challenges and on the runway. Plus, I think she deservingly won both lipsyncs tonight and served a strong look. Samantha would've been a cute winner too, but I think her ending up Top2 and with a great redemption is enough for her! 2
xrosup Posted March 17 Posted March 17 On one hand, Hornella beat Sethlas in that first lipsync, but on the other hand Sehtlas mollywhopped Samantha in the final lipsync so I guess it events out

Wishing her all the best and she slayed the finale too Happy for the others for making it far on a pretty jampacked season of extremely talented gals! Hope we get to see Juriji on a global all stars since she just EXUDES star power 2
Ponzi Posted March 17 Posted March 17 Finale was OK. I thought Juri did better than Samantha in the first lipsync but c'mon we all knew how this was going to play out. She's still Mother Superior and it seems I was right to think she seemed kind of checked-out from the beginning even though she ate ate ate from the ball and on. Sethlas ate both lipsyncs, especially the first one. The second one was the usual stuff until she slammed down from the panel icon. Well-deserved victory. Calvo looked kind of cvnt in drag, idk. Still don't like him 3

Question though… I’m not familiar with the drag style in grand Canaria. Is showing your body, not wearing wigs, and wearing oversized shoes that you can’t walk in the standard? Because virtually every single lip sync I got almost the same thing. Congrats to her though. Juriji can come back on a global all stars if her English is good enough and I’d be here for it. 1

Literally yes, I did some quick research when season 2 aired and that seems to be the basis of Canarian drag Maybe this is ignorant and closeminded of me but I really don't see anything interesting or exciting about that scene, and Sethlas didn't prove me wrong either. 1 1

It was fun and interesting the first time or two. After that though… it just got repetitive. Sethlas had some good runway looks this season but we always ended up going back to the bare chest, bald head, and oversized heals.

This is her winning performance in the Gala Canaria, which is the biggest drag competition country-wide: Rupaul was apparently inspired by this competition to create Drag Race. I do see how it can get samey, but you could say the same about bar queens doing the same stunts over and over to the latest pop song. 1 1

I might be totally misremembering, but I think it was just slight drama at the beginning, because they used to be roommates, but in general they got along (especially by the end). Didn't Dovima literally give up in the lipsync with Sagi, because she thought she deserved to stay more than her? I'm just writing this from memory though, not fact checking, so I could be wrong
