Why let them wrestle with any other name on NXT when they're going to change their names on the MR?? Like, I get that this is how it's always been with developmental territories, but OVW back in the day didn't air on the WWE Network or was part of WWE's syndication deals. It was its own thing, and it was pretty local. So very few people even cared when "Leviathan" debuted as "Deacon Batista," nor did they have any reason to appreciate that "Rico Constantino" kept his first name when he became Billy & Chuck's manager stylist. They at one point tried to act like NXT was a third brand on par with Raw and SDL, and now they want us to pretend that Pete Dunne is some psychotic newsie named "Butch"? Okay Vince. Go off with your french vanilla fantasy, I guess...
