NXT did 700K on Tuesday.  Eric Bischoff predicted they'd match and outview Dynamite this year, and I had my doubts.  Not so much anymore!!

Tuesday’s live New Year’s Evil edition of WWE NXT drew 700,000 viewers on the USA Network, according to Nielsen via Showbuzz Daily. This is up 7.2% from last week’s 653,000 viewers for the live first episode of 2023.

Tuesday’s NXT drew a 0.15 rating in the key 18-49 demographic. This is down 6.25% from last week’s 0.16 rating in the key demo. The 0.15 rating represents 202,000 18-49 viewers, which is down 3.34% from the 209,000 18-49 viewers that last week’s 0.16 key demo rating represented, according to Wrestlenomics.

That said, AEW got almost 1M this week because of GODsha Banks :clap3:

I think this will go to Endevour, it makes the most sense and the smartest too. UFC and WWE can have tons of crossover and appeal.

Fox is losing $145 million dollars on Smackdown annually.

Smackdown is #1 every Friday but has the lowest ad rate. Advertisers still have a stigma against WWE viewers.  $47,000 per ad when other shows get 1/2 the demo they charge upwards of 100k :rip:

Quote

FOX is reportedly losing money under their deal with WWE SmackDown. A new report from the Wrestling Observer cites a Morgan Stanley analysis that said the price tag for SmackDown could not be justified. FOX paid $196.7 million for SmackDown in the 2020-2021 TV season, and ended up with $134 million in losses. In the 2021-2022 season, FOX paid $208.5 million for the show, and ended up with $145 million in losses. The conclusion to the analysis was that there simply are not enough wrestling fans to justify the kind of money FOX spent on SmackDown, and that the number of viewers likely will not change over the next two years. SmackDown wins Friday nights for FOX on most weeks and that makes WWE more valuable to other networks, but at the same time, even with winning the night, SmackDown still brings in the lowest ad rates of Friday night primetime network TV shows at $47,000 per minutes
