Ideally, they would do it after the Clash PPV. It would be a good reset for the women, and give them a longer time to build to Survivor Series.

I don’t know if I fully agree with this. Shouldn’t it be 50% the wresting and 50% the entertainment. The majority of WWE fans still want to see talent tear the house down in the ring but I do agree the entertainment/storyline factor is just as important, maybe a tiny bit more so.

NXT was good when they signed indy wrestlers and gave them GIMMICKS that made them interesting and stand out. Last few years under Hunter was all just "I'm a real, serious wrestler" faceless indy shtick. Imagine if Sasha was never the Boss or Bayley was never the hugger, but were just faceless indy girls "that could wrestler". I don't have a problem with indy wrestlers as long as they get interesting gimmick and storyline other than feeding marks.

Speaking of indy wrestlers with gimmicks, Hunter better give Shotzi back her tank this Friday on Smackdown :jonnycat:

nobody watches WWE for wrestling, they watch it for the entertainment. i loved how matches were maximum of 15 mins back in the day, these 30+  wrestling clinics are BORING, except to the marks.

I also love the actual wrestling. Just because you don’t doesn’t mean no one does.

Hmmm… perhaps a little bit but from my memory girls like Candice, Rhea, Shayna, Dakota, Io all had gimmicks to the same degree that Bayley, Becky, Sasha and Charlotte did

I would say they had way more in-ring psychology telling their matches that supported the storyline.

Wouldn't really label it a “gimmick” … more persona.

There's a difference between having a look and having a character. When most if not all of the NXT gimmicks are giving autobiography and not much else, you can't call it a gimmick. Your life story isn't marketable if everyone else's is exactly the same.

Honestly, though, most of these girls felt like they had "nicknames" rather than gimmicks: "The Queen of Spades," "The Nightmare," "The Genius of the Sky."  I don't feel like those were as fleshed-out as, say, Bianca's "EST" gimmick, which was backed by multiple vignettes.

Even Candice I would say had a much stronger gimmick with "The Way," and that's why the whole group got over on NXT.  Had it not been for timing (her pregnancy, Theory catching Vince's eye, Gargano's contract running out), the stable might've made it onto the MR (at least imo).

That is not good -- I wonder if it gives NBCUniversal more or less motive to potentially just buy WWE one day

True. Hopefully they can find a balance going forward between having interesting characters/storyline’s and in ring talent.

i honestly feel like they need to hire an anthropologist or something on their creative team so they can build stories around REAL potential dynamics and emotions instead of the same 4 storyline’s we seem to get on repeat.

I really enjoyed the women’s tag match on Dynamite - it had some fun spots and the crowd was really into it. (My only complaint is the dentist’s selling)

If this is the Madison Rayne agenda, then sign me up.

Jamie Hayter is my fave. It would be amazing if she took the title off of Sandbag Rosa.

Why do I get the feeling that one of them's pregnant??  My money would be on Peyton, but then I don't see why Billie couldn't stick around as a singles wrestler... Her SDL run showed she can get over solo.  Send your laminated headshot and resume to WWE, queen!

Welp, I guess I was a few months early with my prediction but...

One of WWE’s NIL signees was arrested and charged with sexual battery.

I expect this will happen again with the NIL group considering how much of an issue sexual misconduct is in college sports.
