I don't know why but I just cackled a bit seeing the production team list of AOTY-nominated albums on Wikipedia. The way the list just kept getting bigger and bigger and bigger recently.

Agreed mama. I've found that the older you get the less seriously you take it though. Don't sweat the small stuff 'cuz you know you can survive the curveballs life throws at you, from experience.

Or you go the other route and get more bitter with age, but who wants that?

Absolutely, and that's something I'm grateful I figured out early in life. I see so many people suffering from stress, anger and mental anguish and, most times, it's based on the silliest and most meaningless things, much of it self-inflicted. One thing I feel people don't realize is that they have a choice, at any given point to do better for themselves; all it takes is effort, even in the smallest of ways that can make a big difference.

I was, personally, stuck working a job that was just sucking the life and spirit out of me, for years. Until I became brave enough to step out of my comfort zone and no longer accept that for my life. Literally, even with all of the experience I have, it took me 11 months to find a new job that paid close to what my last job did, as I didn't want to take too much of a cut. I'm now enjoying the still very beginning of a three-day weekend; I walked into my new workplace this morning, was greeted by a skeleton crew and was told, "Hey, everyone's actually off today..."

Effort, time, faith and patience...

Congratulations to you boo. That's so freeing. Like you said, having that belief that if you fall you WILL get back up, turns everything around for you. You go from desperate/fear (I need them to like me, I need to do this, etc.) to in control because you have a choice, for everything, like you said.

Glad to hear your new job is paying off well.

Thank you! It absolutely is freeing; I just have a brand new perspective on life, now that I'm able to actually live it in a way I was unable to do so before. I'm going to be taking this time to better myself in virtually every way. I've always been the type to take things head on, especially now when I see how it pays off for me positively in the end.

I hear the little comments people make in everyday, casual conversation and it's just all so very revealing how people tend to not believe in themselves, their abilities or that there are always better opportunities out there. Of course, those in control are more than happy to allow people to believe that way.

I finally saw the trailer for Oppenheimer, and it looks like it's going to be dreadfully boring. People can pretend they'd rather see that, but all the cool kids will be having fun, watching Barbie.

Maybe I should host a new animated movies rate. Haven't done one since 2019.  Yeah I think I'll do a Pixar movies rate. Haven't done that before.

Thinking of getting the Sony XM4s as a going-out headphones, I don't feel comfortable bringing my maxes outside the house. but I fumbled the bag when I saw them on sale for $269 my biggest bet might be on Prime Day. The Bose is on sale though.
