I'm so ******* mad we're regressing on social issues like abortion and now potentially gay marriage because it just moves the focus away from healthcare for all. I'm so tired of not being able to afford the medicine I need because of this. My employer doesn't offer healthcare and honestly even when I did have it through an employer it only covers so much. Big pharma runs this country and it makes me sick honestly. Poor people, like me, never get a seat at the table yet we pay for the table.

I need to move to somewhere else, my medical conditions will only get worse and girl… I ain't got time

"Most don't have skills."

"Most don't have partners."

And then...

"All for reasons outside of our control." :ahh:

These boys are such ******* losers. What do you mean it's someone else's fault you don't have a skill? Skills are learned. You can learn any skill. :jonny:

This is what I saw all over Reddit too

"The left and Democratic Party offer me nothing! What do they offer me besides demonizing young straight white Christian men?"

And what do the Republican Party offer queer people, young single women, and Black people? Quickly! :cm: Also acting like Kamala is over here going "Kill all men!" rather than that being just some niche Tumblr thing :deadbanana: No one actually affiliated with the Democratic Party does any of the **** they claim alienates them. The same can't be said about the Republican Party and the people they alienate.

Gay boys grow up single, lonely, and horny too on top of being bullied for being gay! Yet they don't turn into antisocial weirdos who blame everyone else for their problems. Oh and note to the young boys: telling girls you control their bodies probably doesn't make them want to date you more so maybe look inward!

I'm tired of coddling young men. They're lucky there are just way way more of them and that's why people have to cater to them. And Democrats do try, like Kamala even proposed getting rid of college degree requirements in the public sector knowing a lot of young boys don't want to go to college (yet they also will complain women are attending college more than them). They don't care. They don't care. They don't care. They think Trump is funny, he owns the people they hate, and Kamala is a liberal black woman AKA cringe.

How does Nevada take so long to count what, 17 votes? :rip:

I'm not saying abandon trans people, I'm saying fight the fights where they matter. The discussion here is about trans sports, which is of such immensely little consequence even for 95% of trans people and the one that polls exponentially worse than the others. It should be irrelevant. Everyone here seems to be able to acknowledge there is nuance there and they themselves probably cant construct an argument that would be persuasive to normies. So why die on that hill if many of us dont even feel we can argue the case well? Just because emotionally we don't want to back away from an issue that has to do with a minority? Dying on that hill makes Democrats look like weird out of touch freaks to average voters. Thats why Republicans use it.

Why not just let it go, abstain on the bill that doesn't really affect anyone in a serious way and then move the **** on :rip:

The only ones dying on this hill are weird internet liberals who think that the way forward is to start distancing ourselves from trans issues :rip:

Until there's some kind of proof that people really do care about this issue to the point that it explains why ~12 million people stayed home to not vote for Harris, I don't even see why this is the takeaway people are having :rip:

If Trump lost, it would be like his team saying "He lost because he rode the garbage truck and worked at McDonalds!" Like.. huh? What? Who went to the polls to vote with that issue in mind?

Can you point out an example of Kamala Harris arguing for trans people to compete in sports? If you cannot do that, then you are inventing a problem out of thin air. This is the issue that people in here are trying to highlight.

This started in response to different member's prediction that Republicans will turn this into a wedge issue in 2026. It's theoretical. But it's emblematic of a general refusal to stategise on these unpopular social issues that we are observably losing young people to the right because of. It's also important to me because the right wing in my country is trying to turn trans issues into a battleground for our next election and there needs to be good way past that for everyone on the global left

Well, you see, the younger half of the 18-28 year old Gen Zers eligible to vote can't write a signature because we don't fund the schools and don't teach cursive anymore anyway and they also don't answer their phones to be asked to come cure their ballots

Philippe Reines is basically Harrier and Sannie.

"We need to disavow the left and throw the trans commies under the bus" is the lesson learned from a center-right campaign of hugging Liz and Dick Cheney. Omfg I hate it here.

@Lil Mistee Reines also says Medicare for all needs to be abandoned as a talking point too. Expect Democrats to run on restoring Obamacare after the ACA gets repealed and nothing beyond that ever again.

Yall cannot possibly tell me that a universalist, economically populist agenda backed by an abandonment of Californian HR department identity politics would not be immensely popular and successful. Yall lefties don't even like that stuff. Dont gaslight me :clack:

My post election evolution right now is into fully embracing the politics of the 2016 Bernie bro

Okay, I'm calmed down again and back to being action-minded.

How early into 2025 do we think candidates will start announcing Michigan gubernatorial campaigns for the 2026 election?
