Is there any twitter account in the world that has "US State Media" labeled on it?

Voice of America - no US state media notice - https://twitter.com/VOANews

Radio Free Asia - no  US state media notice - https://twitter.com/RadioFreeAsia

National  Endowment for Democracy - no US funding notice - https://twitter.com/NEDemocracy

Atlantic Council - no US funding notice - https://twitter.com/AtlanticCouncil

What does this have to do with shielding politicians from criticism? If you’re trying to lead me to a point it’s faster if you just get to it. ?

Did you... read what they linked? lol

Trying to "pre-empt" disinformation is something any progressive  should question because corporations, by their inherent nature of needing to make money, are prioritizing profi over truth. So something that is a truthful criticism over a politician can be labeled by Twitter as coming from "state media"" of any random country that America hates to shield its politicians from reporting. See: all those claims where like memes about Hillary's conservatism in the 90s were argued as "Russian disinformation" by "bots" despite something can't be disinformation if it's... true. :toofunny3:

There's like random vloggers who get labeled "Chinese-affiliated media" for receiving cultural exchange grants from the Chinese  government but the literal publication of  the CIA isn't labeled '"US state media"? Huh?

Whether people have had their issues with Brie or not, her monologue was great and I don’t see how one could interpret it as anything but taking advantage of a moment in which conservatives are skeptical of the FBI to grant that they are correct that the FBI is bad but for the wrong reasons and then push for an actual leftist take on why the FBI is bad. :skull: She stated in very clear terms that the FBI overwhelmingly targets left wing organizations and activists, reminded everyone that conservatives historically defended the FBI and celebrated the investigation of Hillary, admitted that MTG is a hypocrite and has the right take only because it’s currently convenient for her to oppose the FBI, encouraged conservatives to keep up the energy when the FBI targets non-billionaires who can’t protect themselves, and never once defended Trump.

One could argue the FBI search of Mar-a-Lago is actually an example of a rarer positive action undertaken by the FBI that we’ve seen, but that’s the only thing I feel like Brie could have hit on more to distinguish her take from the right’s. But I also don’t think the people vilifying her for this segment are operating in good faith anyway.

So you're just worried about people being too dumb or disingenuous because of the auto labeling. That's not going to deter the criticism, because people who don't want to hear it, or persuadable voters, arent really on twitter. And people with enough sense will be able to discern a mislabelling from outright propaganda.

I love how republicans when democrats do literally the smallest thing they go running to the media with their hair on fire screaming bloody murder and calling for 10 investigations  yet when their man gets caught stealing nuclear weapons they are like “let’s not rush to judgements here” ?

I was literally JUST coming to post this. :rip:

After rummaging through the coverage of this last night, I woke up today completely perplexed at the double standards applied for Republicans vs Democrats.

On one hand, everybody including "the left" was telling us that this "raid" was going to help Trump cause it was too political blah blah blah. But, on the other hand, just the optics of Hillary being investigated for a non-crime apparently made her a terrible candidate. Same goes for Hunter Biden, no one talks about how targeting a recovering drug addict is going to backfire in a country dealing with an opioid crisis. We're just supposed to take it that it reflects badly on Biden that his son has an opioid addiction (while, of course, ignoring his late overachieving son & quiet normal daughter).

The media of course perpetuates this double standard by holding the bar lower for Republicans (had it been Obama both LEFT and RIGHT media would be at his throat). But that doesn't mean anyone on the collective left (moderate to far left) should play along tbh. It's such a stupid game.

"FBI raid Obama residence in search of nuclear documents"

Like... could you imagine? :biblio: Absolutely NO ONE would be talking about how the FBI is helping his re-election chances.

American politics is so DERANGED. :bibliahh:

Yup. First they went with the “they planted evidence” to now him just admitting he did it. Just outright admitting publicly corruption and criminal acts and yet I still doubt he’s held accountable.

Oh I could just imagine the outrage if it was Obama’s or Hillary’s house being raided for nuclear weapon secrets ?
