@TheLastChordGet in! Democrats are saving our rights!

Your plan has been set in motion. Do you think it will work? :gaycat2:

Unfortunately, I think the media reporting on this will be abysmal since they’re “used to” partisan votes. And Republicans are expected to be awful to those who follow politics like the beltway media. Which is unfortunate, because the average person who doesn’t follow politics probably thinks Republicans are more moderate than they actually are.

this isn't my plan, it just made sense. Whether or not this "works" for November is completely irrelevant. Democrats have to at least attempt to get this stuff passed, why wouldn't they? And if they don't even try, who would? Also, the wasting time excuse is poor, there's plenty of trash being passed all the time:rip:

Economy trumps ALL in Federal elections in America and we're in a bad one and that's the reason Dems are getting cooked in November and in 2024, but that doesn't mean passing, or at least fighting to pass, legislation that is supported by a wide majority of Americans isn't the right step. This "might" help some democrats in Lean D or Likely D districts that are in trouble because of the Republican trends, but this won't help any Democrat in Toss Ups or Lean R districts because the only thing that could help them is the economy getting better and taht's not happening any time soon.

This doesn't work to excite anyone anymore after multiple election cycles of stuff passing the House but then the numbers suddenly no longer being there when they have a clear majority in the Senate that would make passing in the House meaningful.

I-… She would be like this, no doubt. :jonny:

Once again the democrats doing all the right things and proving yet again that the two parties are far from the same ??????

That’s why I’m glad Bernie and other Senators  finally moved to the left of Obama when it comes to abolishing the filibuster. :gaycat2:

I don’t blame voters for NOT understanding the concept of a filibuster. Majority rules is the most familiar decision making framework, and would actually do the most to differentiate the parties since it would require Republicans to enact their awful legislative agenda and turn off voters.

The video of Josh Hawley running inside the capitol is such a kii :dies:

Josh Hawley running away from the people he helped to incite because he's scared of them is pretty on-brand.

The outakes of Trump speaking was like something out of SNL

Incredible. Every time we start to talk about Democrats failures, we get distractions like these hearings to feed the public.

Pelosi’s House may just save us yet in the midterms. Can you imagine? This could be the first time in two decades (since Bush’s ILLEGAL wars gave him an undeserved boost) that a President’s party keeps/grows it’s majority.

Keep dreaming. That House majority you speak of is as good as gone. :dies:

Yeah ... Biden, Trump, and Kamala are all virtually unable to speak, so I don't see what her point is

It's so funny how you have people like Kassi act as though progressives want Dems to lose their majority when we are the only ones telling them to fix their issues in order to keep it. And ironically it will be thanks to progressives putting pressure on leadership to make promises about big policy goals if they do manage to hold the House and have a true majority in the Senate. Literally the only path to +2 in the Senate is the two progressives running who have the best shot out of all possible Dems of winning. Killer cops running in Florida as the hinge for a Senate majority is the kind of privileged nonsense a only a Biden Bro could entertain.

It's so tiring to be gaslighted by partisans who don't need Dems to be successful cause they're often part of privileged classes while we beg Dems to get their act together and not only prevent harm but actually make life better. Some of our families need expanded dental and vision. Some of our families won't be able to survive student debt payments resuming. The snide and obnoxiousness of mocking people for being disillusioned is even worse when realizing people become disillusioned because of how badly they hope, pray and need Democrats to not only win but then do their jobs once they win and thus the hurt and anger when they win and don't deliver on what was promised.

Politics isn't a form of amusement and sport for most Americans. There's nothing to be gained for most of us if policy won't be passed. I don't need icons or even a job (spoiler- most partisans are affluent elites who see themselves one day becoming part of DC, not following politics in hopes politicians will make their lives better). I need the people in charge of the legal makeup of our society to stop making it so shitty for everyone.

Begging and pleading that politicians actually do their job of improving society shouldn't be something any well adjusted person mocks or sees as a weakness to mock.

Even the obnoxiousness to concerns over student debt is so tactless. It's like...oh me upset over the idea that Biden is going to leave 45m largely poor Americans in debt is funny? Okay so if Biden fails to forgive $50k in student debt that he would need to to make any substantial change in the debt crisis and I reach a breaking point and kill myself, can I have the mods on here send your IP address to my family so they can send my ashes to your location so you can actually see what you think is oh so funny in person?  That's the reality for millions of people that life simply won't be worth living if Democrats continue to fail to actually use the power they have and which have no obstacles in their way.

I'm just constantly reminded of 2020 and that vet with Huntington's disease telling Bernie he planned on killing himself because life was not worth living after Dems' commitment to bloated administration caused his Tri-Care to be taken away. It requires so little of Democrats to change people's lives in the most radical way that it can only be described as a sickness and sociopathy that we have any Dems at all who don't want to do these very simple and novel things to improve our world.

Can Pelosi and her spouse stop being corrupt for literally 2 seconds

No wonder she's even more panned than Biden, she is like at record-breaking levels of corruption :rip:

Pelosi is always getting her ass handed to her.

^Imagine your mind being so warped that answering a reporters question is “getting her ass handed to her” :toofunny3:

Same with that video of her with those immigration activists shouting her down… only to have the sitting Republican President attempt a DACA repeal (only prevented by the grace of the last Supreme Court), put kids in cages, and expel millions of refugees under the pretense of Covid prevention, while  kneecapping border processing facilities.

People are WEIRD. The hate they have for the woman responsible for everything good in America in the last 2 decades is so…  :gaycat6:
