LOL, not that far from reality tbh, with the way the "press releases" so often try to correct Biden :skull:

He really didn't. Herschel was Trump's pick, and nobody else who was viable was willing to run.

He still has a very real chance of winning in spite of being an awful candidate. National landscape being this awful for Dems, Biden being the most unpopular 18-month president of all time, etc. all work against Warnock at this point.

queen Tamara Johnson-Shealey deserved tbh, we love a reparations and Medicare for All supporter :heart2:

As AWFUL as Walker is it doesn't help Warnock he ran images and verbiage like this during his campaign and no one got a 2k check

Biden lying teas

when you're too right-wing to actually support Medicare for 60 (even Hillary supported 55) and a public option, let alone Medicare for All or even the Australia-esque Single Payer Plus :deadvision:, so you just pretend aka lie.

Would be interesting if most Americans wrote in Shrek as a third party nominee for POTUS in 2024

The polls were right both times.

The pundits are the ones screwing it up and still acting like the national popular vote is how we’ll decide the presidency. ??

The polling was off both times. Polls showed Hillary winning the popular vote and electoral college.

I think he wins it. Along with fetterman in PA (if he will just get to campaigning instead of going on trips with his family)

She won the popular vote by 2pts, the polls had her ahead by 3pts.

Polls showed a toss up in the electoral college

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2016/president/2016_elections_electoral_college_map.html

PA Polls  had her +1, she lost -1

That is with the polls’ margin of error.

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2016/president/pa/pennsylvania_trump_vs_clinton_vs_johnson_vs_stein-5964.html

Same for MI poll. they were within the 2% margin of error.

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2016/president/mi/michigan_trump_vs_clinton_vs_johnson_vs_stein-6008.html

WI was the big miss but it’s because most polls had stopped polling the states 3 weeks before the election as Hillary’s team did not campaign and claimed they had it on lock.

Sadly media and lot of ATRLers don’t know how to read a poll.

The polling showed Biden winning with around 7% (RCP average) over trump. In the end it was about 5%.
now invidual states is harder to get right as 2016, and 2020 proved but most polls in those states also showed him winning. His margins were smaller but still.

this still won’t stop the supreme courts decision but it is an important step making it known federal law trumps state laws. ??

You know Biden is a piece of **** when his behavior has me even feeling like..... I know I'm not crazy, but Hillary would not be being this useless and lazy of a piece of ****?? :deadbanana4: She was evil and corrupt and had nothing but the desire for power... but that meant her ass would put it to work. There was nothing she wouldn't lie or say to get her way. She'd be chilling in Cedar Rapids finding a way to make hell itself move. I just.. don't get the lack of action. Biden is truly the worst politician y'all could have ever forced on us. He will literally be remembered as this century's Buchanan.

Hillary may be a mess, but at least she's not tired/lazy (not campaigning in swing states may read as lazy, but that was more of an ego issue) and incompetent. She reminds me of the DeSantis to Biden's Trump in that she would be more effective than Trump and the Blue Trump since she's ... not incompetent

For all of Hillary's faults, I agree with you. I could at least tell she cared about abortion rights, and I think she would have done a better job pushing for it than Obama, who dropped it immediately to begin work on his Republican'd healthcare plan. :rip:

That's why Obama had to lie and say it was a priority for him. So that he could outflank her on her most important personal issue. Kamala running cover for Obama in that recent CBS interview was just despicable. "We thought it was settled" BULL ****

Like I'm not even praising her. I'm just shocked at how lazy the party has gotten around the optics of corruption. It's like morphed into legacy corruption. Corruption that doesn't even try to hide itself. Hillary would have begged, borrowed and stolen to keep herself to power. She would have gaslight, gatekept, and girlbossed us all.

Maybe it's for the best though that partisans be faced with the reality of the leadership they trust - Biden drooling and dead behind the eyes while shrugging off abortion rights, not even entertaining the idea he needs to answer to us.

I mean... I know you don't intend to praise her at all, but like... with how feckless and useless Biden is... the bar is so low that Hillary would be a vast improvement over what we were stuck with in the end. It's not even remotely fair, either. We get punished for her failure to campaign in Wisconsin with "oh, she lost Middle America because she's too far left, and the far left don't vote so she alienated the centrist majority for no reason. Therefore, we must move to the right of Hillary by pushing Joe, whose warmongering record is even more hawkish (his Afghanistan pullout notwithstanding, as we're currently seeing with the proxy war in Ukraine), has contempt for grassroots and activists, AND has an even worse environmental record.  :gaycat6:

The only thing Dems could potentially count on in 2024 is a completely vicious and close primary between Trump and Desantis.

This is the best case scenario. If Trump ran as a Libertarian, Desantis as a Republican and Liz Cheney as an Independent it would be devastating.

I was literally talking to a friend about this today. If Trump ran third party or independent to sabotage DeSantis, which is entirely something he would do, that would be the only viable path I see for Biden winning in 2024.
