It is in fear of this, US will do whatever in their power to prevent it from happening including war, exampled by invasion of Iraq, Libya, etc The transition from USD has to be accompanied by security(military) arrangement with either China or Russia...

That is why ASEAN countries resisted to US effort against their biggest trading partner China. In a way China's actions in SCS isn't primarily aiming at the islands but aiming to keep US out. Keeping US out of ASEAN is the security guarantee...

So ASEAN can eventually dump the USD without being bombed by US like Iraq. This is why even Philippine is not interested in resuming the island issues. It is also important to observe how SA can make the switch without being democratically and humanitarianly bombed or...

Color revolutioned, Saudi forum are already discussing how SA can covertly acquire nuclear capabilities rapidly (i.e. 1-2 years) to prevent itself from being threatened by US nuclear blackmail. Chinese assistance might be sought on less sensitive areas (i.e. delivery assets)

Multiple nuclear shields from  Russia,Pakistan, would supplement China and help push out american interference in the Asian battlespace. 
KSA has purchased DF-3s and DF-21s from China in the past. China is also involved in the Goldern Wheel DF missile program with KSA in 2021

it is also reported that Saudi Arabia was, with Chinese assistance, manufacturing solid fueled missiles of an undetermined type. In case of absolute worsening of relations between Riyadh and Washington DC...

DF-21D are capable of deterring US CSGs from getting anywhere close to the Middle East and able to cover US and NATO bases in Europe, it won't be surprising that China sells (or already sold) or help KSA to build them in order to break SA from US.

Considering the relationship between Pakistan and SA, it won't surprise me that suddenly SA got nukes. Also reapproachment between Iran and Saudi is happening right now, thats why you don't hear Saudi complaining about Iran nuclear program recently. For the US having 2 nuclear armed antagonists in middle east is a total nightmare, Israel won't ever tolerate that and it will demand more US involvement in middle east at the time when US is desperately trying to pivot to East Asia

Thus the US will be forced to either abandon Israel or commit itself to three front war with Russia in Europe, Saudi and Iran in Middle east, China and NK in east asia.
