The sanctions have just made it extremely difficult to get dollars. They are now linking their currency to China's, so eventually it will stabilize the banking situation.  This gives China another "win" in their efforts to lessen US dominance in world economics systems. China is giving the world an alternative, and many are taking it.

 

BTW, Russian economy is better now than pre-invasion. The country has boosted the military industry output, which along with the failed Russian oil/gas sanctions, made it somewhat better. Sanctions have also made it so less money is leaving Russia. Overall the whole sanction scheme has been a bit of a fiasco.

Ukraine has begun an incursion of roughly 800 soldiers into territory of Russia
