It's in China's best interest. More the US sends to Ukraine, the less they have to send Taiwan. To China, Ukraine is the US's money pit, throwing billions down a hole with no real return. In the end Zelensky will have to make peace on Russian terms, and then get tossed out by his people for making peace. Ukraine will drift back into the corrupt power structure it had before Zelensky, which is fine for Russia as they probably had half of them bought off before.

Guess that's one way to force your expats to come back for conscription. By not letting them renew their passports abroad.

Unfortunately, Zelensky and his government are doing the same draconian laws as Russia towards mobilization. They basically allowing to send young, unprepared guys and girls right into frontlines. I understand that country at war but it's just not right on many levels.

There are enough people out in the world in general that only care about the deaths of white Ukrainians and the victims of October 7. those are literally the only groups that are even talked about in mainstream circles. Gazan deaths are acceptable because they're "human shields" so Israel doesn't have to take responsibility for their crimes. Russia, meanwhile, has been faced with universal condemnation and Western sanctions while Israel gets fully supplied by the West.

 

The situations are not even remotely symmetrical. Russia is the unequivocal villain here, while Israel gets to claim eternal victimhood while being the Biden-supported oppressor in nearly every instance.
