Kern Posted October 21 Posted October 21 (edited) 1 hour ago, flower moon said: Reveal hidden contents what gives you the impression he abused her? i felt that she let him drown because he wanted to follow her to london and that would've messed up her marriage/life. Spoiler To be fair it's mostly because of the disclaimer at the beginning of the show that it shows abuse etc. and there wasn't any of that so far and also I think the show wants us to hate Catherine and then we will see her as the victim as a plot twist. Otherwise I kinda don't see the point of this show because we kinda know almost everything already and her life is ruined anyway Edited October 21 by Kern

WEEKND Posted October 26 Posted October 26 Watched Baby Reindeer recently. Great show. It all made sense in the end as to why he was willing to put himself through all of that. He said something about how the greatest love of his life is him hating himself. Extremely sad. I really liked the actress who played Teri. 1
Virgos Groove Posted October 27 Posted October 27 (edited) TW: Heterosexuality-adjacence Spoiler Watched The Grand Tour finale and, man, I'm gonna miss those three. I can't believe it's been 11 years since I first got into Top Gear... even though I stopped vicariously watching it around 2017 when pop music became my special interest, it's still the ultimate comfort show for me. It basically taught me English and shaped so much of my humour (mostly the cadence and metaphors and not, you know, the vile homophobia and conservatism). I still have the dozens of TG magazines I forced my mom to buy when I was 14. Sorry to get all melodramatic, but the end of the show really does feel like the end of an era. Car culture hasn't been interesting in ages - it's all boring SUVs now - and Clarkson, Hammond and May (especially Clarkson) are all a bit too... outdated for today's culture, even in TERF Island. So I'm glad they were able to leave on a high note instead of falling (deeper) into "ArE YoU OFfEnDeD???" humour. They're dinossaurs, but they're my dinossaurs, and I'll forever be grateful for the 22 years of entertainment they delivered. And if you made it past one paragraph talking about 3 British white men, you deserve a treat, so here's a little Top Gear-pop girl crossover content. My brand! Edited October 27 by Virgos Groove
Mephisto Posted October 29 Posted October 29 Watching The Good Place and loving it! Also watching Archer, it's hilarious but I have a feeling it'll get old really fast. (also why did they make Archer so hot) 1
spiritboy Posted October 31 Posted October 31 Disclaimer ep5 was so good. Cate Blanchett will always be an icon 1
Hollywood. Posted November 9 Posted November 9 I typically don't like romance shows, but Stay with Me (2023) ended up being great and one of my faves. A nice mix of comedy, drama and romance. Crazy that a censored "bromance" from mainland China ended up being a good gay romance story with incredible chemistry between the leads. Also has great re-watch value too. It shares the same source material as the ill fated Addicted (2016) as well as the recent Thai adaption (same name).
doonerr Posted November 10 Posted November 10 House of Cards, at least the first two seasons, has been just as good as any HBO/Showtime show
D.Va Posted November 18 Posted November 18 (edited) Is anyone else watching From ? Y'all need to get into IT Season 3 is unfortunately kinda boring (episode 5-7 could have fit in one episode, but I feel like it's really picking up and I have no idea how it's gonna end ). Episode 4 remains the best so far, now that as intense. Edited November 18 by D.Va 1

It's been a drag since then, cmon I want answers now lol. It seems like this world is created from dreams/imagination from everyone there? From the paintings of Victor's mother to Tabitha's childhood recurring dream. I don't know, I'm getting bored of the show...

However, after all, the research fonction is so trash on ATRL that I found every thread mentioning the word FROM so I got tired looking at the results Send me the link if you find it

I don't know, I'm getting bored of the show... I like this theory and it's more or less backed up by what Spoiler the boy in white said. They are two sides, "evil" (the monsters, kimono lady, the voices) and "good" (the boy in white, the children), are playing a game. Good wants to free the children trapped in this realm, so they enlist humans to fight and discover the truth (they are chosen ones like Tabitha and Victor's mom & people who are randomly selected to keep the "battle" going, which explains why new people arrive as soon as previous inhabitants from FromVille die). I hope we will get to see what the Kimono Lady is trying to do next week... 1
Capris Groove Posted November 28 Posted November 28 Watched a few episodes of this on the plane, it's one of the best thrillers I've seen in years. All the cast knock it out of the park. 1
Outlaws Posted November 28 Posted November 28 Started watching From. I like the plot, it's a guilty pleasure, but the acting and writing/directing is so incredibly cringe at times

They've done that multiple times as well Spoiler And tbh I'm glad they killed off Jim bc he was getting so annoying too, actually a lot of them are. Even Boyd. I just feel like the show is dragging on rn bc the series started off so strong and after 3 seasons, we barely have any answers as is Hopefully season 4 picks up a lot. But judging from the past 3, I'm not too optimistic about it

But judging from the past 3, I'm not too optimistic about it I was hoping S3 was gonna be what you hope S4 will be, if that makes sense. I've been waiting a year only for it to become a filler season but we'll see... This article from Dealine says we'll finally be getting answers: Spoiler "Our talented show creators and cast have brilliantly and carefully crafted this wonderful show, and we look forward to providing the answers the From audience so enthusiastically craves in season 4!" By the end of season 3, our characters will begin to understand why they are trapped in FROM Town… but will understanding help them to escape? And if so, how?" "With the culmination of Season Three we have, in many ways, reached the end of the beginning. In Season Four, a new journey begins. The question is whether it will lead our characters home, or deeper into this unrelenting nightmare,"
