"I've Changed, Baby!" is kind of a gay bop, so I believe all my fellow Kylie and Robyn fans will be very into it! I wrote it about a sh*tty ex-boyfriend and it's kind of a hopeful song about becoming the best version of oneself. I think the chorus is super infectious and will get stuck in y'all's heads very easily. I think this is one of my catchiest songs to date actually, and it was produced by my great friend Samir (aka Luca Adonis). my favorite lyric from this song is probably: "remember when we f*cked all night and cried when the gradient escaped us/the glow of harbingers reflected in your eyes" I think I kind of snapped there lol. this is also the third time I've ever used pitch correction on a dancey song. the first two are here and here. I think I've really changed since then, baby. you want a party? CALL A PARTIER! also fun fact: I'm going to be performing this song at Denver Pride on the 24th, so I'll def post footage/photos/so on and so forth after that happens "883" on the other hand, is more in my classic lo-fi folk sort of vein. I wrote the main riff on my bisernica (which is an eastern european instrument, my grandma was a huge tourist and bought a cheap one in Serbia in the 70s) and the song came naturally. this song is very special to me because it's based on an angel number I started seeing everywhere at the beginning of the decade, right before the pandemic, and ever since I bought a necklace with the numbers on it, I've rarely ever seen it again. this song is about the ephemerality of friendships/relationships and also feeling hopeful about the future. my favorite lyric from this song is: "then came 883 in a dream/simple as that/clear as day/even when I drew blood in quiet resignation/I found hope in a blinding light" here is the presave link for my spotify users: https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/joeagger/ive-changed-baby--883 possible lyric video/possible music video for "I've Changed, Baby!" to come in due time LOVE ALL Y'ALL! yours, Joe 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
