that applies to literally anything on kpop today.

for example: bp's 2020 The Album - album sales cannot be compared to 2022 girl group million sellers/album sales.

it was a different time

 

you cannot compare rv's birthday 800k on hanteo in 2022 vs the album's 800k on hanteo in 2020 like

 

so lists like these can only be compared to the releases on the same year tbh

Mind to know that NJ debut Attention are likely to broke BP PAK record had SNSD Forever 1 didn't block them on YouTube Music or ichart/instiz didn't include YouTube Music on PAK.

 

But nonetheless we can't deny that BP debut was huge.

 

Edit: Nevermind NJ Attention reached RAK in like 10 days (usually PAK without YouTube Music) so BP debut PAK record are saved.

Fun to see how NewJeans got other gg stans fuming here. I guess they are already THAT successful 

 

Regardless who did Y2K first, NewJeans did it the best and made it part of their brand identity. It will always be heavily associated with them regardless of who did it before them or who will do it after. KBS literally made it their gayo theme and credited NewJeans for it. I know it hurts to see them have so much impact in just 5 months of their debut

The whole thought process behind creating BP was to have a group with SNSD’s aura and visuals singing Teddy songs, and it’s literally all they do. Why do you girls think they’re Pink? LOL

This was team B not Team A which became BP.

 

Team B with Moon Sua (BILLLIE), Chaein and Ireh (Purple Kiss), Seoyeon (fromis_9), Jinny Park (Secret Number), Im Suah (solo), Denise (ex secret number), Jimin and another girl.

 

They all left during the seungri scandal or a bit before.

Saw BLACKPINK in Amsterdam some days and WOW what a show!  it was so good I had to buy a ticket for their British Summer Time Festival show. BP haters in 2022 are just lame.
