I fear the next comeback is going to be their last if they don’t take off . In their debut year they managed to do 4 cbs and now we only had one awful comeback + Jiyoon leaving… 

 

Except for Monday survival Show, these girls did nothing since their last comeback. No drama, no magazines shoot. Only some festivals but nothing with some impact…

 

All the after school hype did nothing bc they choose a bad follow up, and then the concept switch happened with an awful noise song… 

 

Feel sad bc Monday is easily one of the best main vocalist of her generation and Jihan is such a good performer and a stand out. What a waist. Maybe IST will send them in Mnet futur survival show

ASAP has one of the best instrumentals in kpop history

that little zipping/vrooming(?) sound throughout the chorus is so genius

The song hasn’t crossed 100 millions streams yet and it didn’t make any impact in the global charts right? If they were smashing worldwide I wouldn’t care but it’s not the case. Plus Korea sucess was important for them, they were still rookies

The NewJennies members might be faceless individually, but as a group they are very powerful which is what their whole brand stands for. No member is made to stand out from the rest, which is why they are all styled in the same way and having the same natural black hair color. 

 

Though I do think that they should have more solo shots in their MV's, since it would be easier for people to pinpoint the members, cause they do lack individuality a little bit. Like I had to do a little research about the members before I could finally tell them apart, which I'm usually very good at by looking at the MV's alone. Hanni and Minji were the hardest cause they looked identical to me for a while

Stereotype is not a flop, it gave them their first music show wins and was like top 20-30 on Melon (which is a great result for a group from an unknown company and zero music show wins at that time, don't let those big 4 stans delude you)

their only REAL flop was Beautiful Monster sadly

Exactly this. And the balance was suddenly thrown around 2018 at least for RV and it seems it might be the case for Aespa too. Not sure what caused this shift but this was never the case for their older groups
