It's a bit of a chaotic song on first listen but it's on brand for them and the chorus is definitely memorable. It's not one of those songs you forget how it sounds as soon as it finishes.

I know I shouldn't be mad at them, but I'm kinda am. Hear me out: cube are p***y and it's easy to go against them. 5 of them are songwriters and 2 are producers.

When cube dropped the ball on them they could have tried to save the group, but they just waited.

 

I mean half of BTOB, I-DLE & PENTAGON albums were rejected by cube at first but they fought for it.

 

The other example is Kino was refused to debut as a solo so he made a soundcloud posting songs after songs on it until cube caved and let him debut.

 

Still wondering why Jamie was moaning at the end of the song.

FMR had that classique sound to it tho. With the sample, joys part and Wendy’s vocals it made for an enjoyable and memorable song whereas birthday just sounds ok but it’s just missing that ‘wow’ factor. 
on a ride and bye bye are great tho.

True. FMR might have a better production but birthday is just more catchy the first song I like from them since psycho.

I like birthday, and the bsides are good too, the only song i'm not feeling is "celebrate" but it could be a grower

red velvet album sucks, somehow it’s even worse than the FMR one.

 

the queendom album remains their best project since the perfect velvet
