But Rosé is not the least popular imo, she’s way more booked than Jisoo both in SK and Globally. It’s just that Jisoo seems to have a more dedicated fanbase

If BP will slay their first ever American Award show performance and it will get news coverage in SK then there's a huge chance of them to snatch that #1 on Melon, the fact that it's holding really well at #2 and is increasing despite no promo yet is a testament of their power. Either way, the chart has never been this exciting since their absence and the fact that NJ and IVE competing against BlackPink is just insane!!! Both deserves ROTY  While other groups stalled when there's actual competition, I got a feeling these 2 are part of those rare groups who excels more with competition

also BP’s music fits more in US’s standards, like I’ve seen so many „first time listeners” reactions and they all are blown out and admit how PV is better than what they are hearing in the radio and how BP reminds them of TLC and Destiny’s Child, especially in the presence department  I think they might actually do something with this song abroad and they will also bait people with those interpolations

I feel like we definitely have Brave Girls to thank for the recent GG domination on charts even if they were lowkey fads. Only BP and OMG were doing very well on charts up until that point.... something shifted after Rollin' went viral idk you just had to be there

I agree they better come trough. It will have ever more impact than an inkigayo performance. Especially if they take a win. It would be like dynamite going number one on BB.

I don’t understand why they never release a mv for their original japanese songs. The mv is always for the jp versions of their korean songs

It hasn't always worked chart-wise, but tbh in the long run I think that's helped their longevity.

 

 

it’s helped keep them fresh tbh! cant get hit with the “same song again” allegations if you mix it up, and it keeps people interested because you might like the next concept if one doesn’t work for you 

 

obviously it takes talent to pull off those changes, and that’s where I think Red Velvet's distinct vocal colors and abilities really help them the most
