they had this surprise and curiosity factor that put them on the wave, but now they are well know around Korea

 

I don’t see them sticking to the idea of teasing pre release and also, will they have more than 1-2 title tracks every release? now that’d be truly revolutionary 

Nwjns debut really is revolutionary  4+ MVs and 3 title tracks. They basically let the public choose which song was better & adjusted their promotions accordingly.

 

Could you imagine if it was a basic debut a normal EP drop. Cookie would have been the title track.   It would have been a cute top10 in Korea but nothing extraordinary and absolutely flop internationally because of the lyrics.

 

Attention/Hype boy would be bsides that were paid dust like IVEs currently are. 
 

Imagine if Nmixx had this strategy. Or Aespa during Black Mamba. Their debuts would have been so much more successful. 3 debut singles might be too expensive for a small company but big4 companies could easily pull this off.

That being said I do think the most likely scenario is that they cleared it behind the scenes maybe....don't think they'd willingly get into legal trouble knowing how big of an act BP is.

yeah it was a really good idea, their rollout was genius and on top of that they served quality with all 4 tracks, I really hope they will continue with this take, although it’s really demanding from the girls and they are very young 

 

I don’t really understand the idea of releasing single albums when you can have double the success with 4 decent tracks 

 

NJ is barely one month old and they are pulling 1m on spotify per track with Attention and Hype Boy, another 700k with Cookie and Hurt… if they follow IVE trajectory they will be huge and they will have multiple hits at once from each release - especially when their music is easily accesible for western consumer

I guess I’m a Starshipper, they’ve been 3/3 with girl groups even though Wonyoung has too much payola for my taste while Liz/Gaeul remain underutilized. Rei is an ace even with her Exy serve on the title. We need the next comeback to have a proper bridge and vocal moment though; the sample carried a lot of this for me tbh. I think Starship is gonna pull a Sistar and throw their first 3 singles and B-sides on the first full album comeback 

 

 

I just hope WJSN The Black gets a comeback soon; idk if Starship will care to keep Yeonjung Carey and friends (Bona will be fine tho  ) next year since IVE is smashing so hard within their first year. They’re overdue for a second full album and finally admitting the C-Line never coming back

I saw this interview, I enjoyed how she described the idea behind their rollout and what public’s response she expected, in fact it all aligned just like she planned
