Girls might have underperformed, but it was still a hit.

 

To even compare it to Umpah/RBB/ZZB/OOTN etc feels like a false equivalency. Anyone with a brain can see it was just SM's crappy marketing. Even as a semi-fan of aespa, my hype the day before Girls release was low because of how drawn out the era had been by that point.

I agree with you

 

the hype was real and it was visible with the preorders and sales, it’s just that SM did them dirty in every possible way

 

by the time girls dropped they were doomed to underperform, especially when the best track was released at the beginning, without proper push 

 

the era of bad decisions 

 

still, it was a mediocre success in the singles department and huge achievement in the sales department

I just realized that Yujin kinda hit the jackpot. 

She's getting promoted and CFs without being hated even 5% as much as Wonyoung because she's not (yet) perceived as an IT girl.

Whenever people point out how bad he is MCing, the fans always bring out other good things he has and say "why are you only lookfocusing on this (MC)?" and bullsh*tting;; It's true that he's simply not good.. He also did mistakes more than once,  stuttered more than once, and even skipped the script more than once. Whenever I'm watching Mubank for my bias, I don't think he ever went without making a mistake... The fans should also stop shielding..

Oh I know, but nbd because I collect all the standard versions. I just don't collect the digipaks/jewelcases bc I'm not spending that much money lol and if I ever do it'd probably only be for Yujin's version

I never buy digipacks just the normal album

AL has 3 and the blue vers is like the innocent girls like the first batch of teasers the orange one is another photoshoot specially for the album like the dance set and the green one is the girls colors of the MV with the best group photoshoot lol

why do these nugu BG's have so much trouble following up great work with great or even better work?

After Like wasn't made for ifan tastes I think. It's very classic old school kpop- a little messy, kinda all over the place but fun! I like it, definitely wasn't expecting this sound from them and I think its good they keep switching it up.

I do sometimes, rarely, but I buy them on ebay from fans who mass buy and they just take the photocards out (idc for them tbh) and for example I got every digipak of NCTs Glitch Mode/BeatBox with all inclusions+posters (so 14 of them) for like 45$ brand new without the PC, photocard collectors are something else lol

 

Oh nice, I'm excited to see them. I don't usually watch unboxing videos as I like a bit of an element of surprise

Um Gauel is serving beauty as always  that hair can be tragic though

 

also Leeseo is Leeseo. She’s a child but she does well with what she’s given. Rei always manages to shine.

and we all know they’re doing Liz dirty and she would slay with better styling and more screentime.

it’s just that WY and YJ’s camera presence is so strong (has been since iz*one)  and the fact that they get more screentime than others doesn’t help in this matter.
