Their last album sold like 200k. Not even Oh My Girl does that. They're 4th in terms of girl group album sales from 3rd gen atm. It's respectable. 

I think WJSN should still stick to the mid-tempo mystical sound a la Save Me Save You for their future title tracks. The mature-sounding uptempo sound they're going for since Butterfly doesn't work imo. Aura is a step in the right direction. Maybe Happy alienated a portion of their fanbase 

 

When you put it like that, i still have hope thar Starship won't disband them in the future and most of the memebers will renew.

I hate to say this but NMixx, despite being overall more talented than aespa, just don't have the it factor that NingNing, Karina and Winter () has. They wouldn't make this copycat metaverse concept works and it'll only make them look bad for the lack of originality

That's because most people in this thread are SM stans, and aespa and SNSD are the most talked about groups in here. If you go by KTRL pages and who the hags in here talk about the most, then SNSD in 2022 are more popular than BTS and BP as well  But this thread does not reflect on what's truly happening in the KPOP world and who's more popular of course.

Nobody is even saying BLACKPINK isn't successful with Pink Venom, because obviously they're doing well. It's just a commentary on how nobody from the third gen is safe anymore, and how we truly have transitioned into the 4th gen being the leading generation. Nobody is saying they're over as it's obvious that even acts from the 2nd gen can get hits. After what feels like a slog since 2018/2019 with ITZY and (G)I-DLE failing to become more popular than TWICE/Red Velvet/BLACKPINK, we can see the tides are changing. 

 

I fear there is no difference between BLINKs and ARMY, but at least the ARMY could admit when BTS flopped either musically or commercially.
