Her work for the company was literally ICONIC, and it was also the main thing setting SM apart from other companies. It was unique, creative, sort of cult and aesthetic pleasing. Now she’s gonna do it to HYBE. I love Newjeans’ music and aesthetic, absolutely LOVE IT. If anything they’re all trying to be mini-Irene’s which is the Korean beauty standard. As much as Jennie and Wonyoung are popular, they’re outliers in a society that praises being homogenous Thats going to be the trend for new GGs moving forward

How is that not a passion project? This group clearly is still meant to do well but I’m saying, it’s not conventional and unless Korea is really here for the music they probably won’t smash out the gate, at least not with this release strategy. The music and chill style is not for everyone and isn’t the most flashy.
