They had a Sakura & spare trainees from Min Hee Jin cutting ties with Source Music and they just needed to do smth with them. The P48 girls were getting too old to debut so they threw in Garam/Eunchae the rejected NewJeans girls to balance out their ages. 
 

As long as there’s bops who cares if they were messily thrown together with no background checks

FX, RV, BTS, 2NE1 etc all have large age gaps

Winter shrieks is the last thing I’d like to hear on both songs and SM would definitely ruin them with „vocal acrobatics”

The song is just generic SM fodder - it's highly likely that White Fox and members of Aespa practiced to it. It just sounds like a poor Red Velvet demo.

 

Where New Jeans shines is the MV and concept. But we don't know whether or not Aespa could pull it off because it's not the type of music video that SM likes to make for any of its groups. It's more of a JYP video.

I don’t see any of the big 3 companies pulling off this concept and MV, that’s literally the appeal and freshness of it

 

aespa would just sing the song but they wouldn’t be able to sell it, the MVs and girls presence elevates it a lot, even the bits of dance they post on IG are so energetic 

 

I saw a comment on yt that they are kinda mix of RV vocals with BP charisma and I’d agree with that, then they are sprinkled with the energy and we have freshness that kpop lacked

I like new jeans but some of you are acting like theyre already pulling massive numbers. Did any of you even bother to look at their yt stats (the only place where their songs are available)? Theyre literally bombing hard. Atleast wait when the song drops in streaming platforms. It's gonna be such a kii if they wont even be able to be atleast on par with lesserafim.
