Anthinos Posted April 17 Posted April 17 We are Fighters is a bop The rest of the album is okay. Love the cover
Suilen Posted April 17 Posted April 17 (edited) We are Fighters is cute I was also shocked to discover that Charisma.com still makes music Edited April 17 by Suilen
Curaga Posted April 17 Posted April 17 Finally got around to making gifs from A Flower of No Color! I was able to get these compressed pretty small for the dimensions using ezgif.com, so some of these are already avi-size! If anyone wants one cropped/resized for an avi, let me know〜 2 1
Graves Posted April 17 Posted April 17 Me melting down writing commentary for the Utada rate In better news, I've decided that Electricity is the best new song on Science Fiction 5

Bad Decisions Posted April 19 Posted April 19 I was OBSESSED with Falco so much when it was released I even did an art assignment for school based on the video! A timeless bop 1
Britneyfan09 Posted April 20 Author Posted April 20 Enjoyed all the new tracks on Unicorn, besides the awful cover of UFO. Wish the album had more new content, but I'll take what I can get. I didn't think she'd release an album this year with the tour being singles themed so I'm glad to see something. Looking forward to the tour setlist tomorrow.

Suilen Posted April 20 Posted April 20 The controversial re-issue of a deceased idol's (Yukiko Okada) single got released, will be sad if that's how the industry moves from now on (they did get backlash/ratio'ed for it, though)

Suilen Posted April 21 Posted April 21 I know that people can't wait for another iconic rate, and while I wasn't joking about taking a break, I did finalize the album list for the Heisei Divas rate (success edition): Namie Amuro - SWEET 19 BLUES Ayumi Hamasaki - Duty Ringo Sheena - Shouso Strip Kumi Koda - Best ~second session~ Mai Kuraki - Delicious Way Tomomi Kahara - LOVE BRACE Ami Suzuki - SA About 90 songs overall (still not sure whether I'll include the S19B interludes), which may seem daunting, but I'm sure that most people are already familiar with a good half of these albums, and it'll be a nice opportunity for some to get to know TK's legacy and either join the team of his admirers or skeptics with me (I do promise to give Tomomi's and Ami's albums a fair chance this time). MISIA, which was mentioned before, will make her appearance in the acclaimed edition based on the following Music Magazine lists (https://rateyourmusic.com/list/littlepupil/music-magazine-the-90s-japanese-music-album-best-100/, https://rateyourmusic.com/list/littlepupil/music-magazine-the-00s-japanese-music-album-best-100/). I haven't given that one much thought yet, but I'm guessing Muzai Moratorium for Sheena, PLAY for Namie, GAME for Perfume, maybe Mika's LOVE. If I come up with a more inclusive name for the second rate, Utada might make an appearance, too, plenty of their albums there (Deep River seems obvious because nobody's ready for another round of Curaga dragging Distance). What's left is for Namie to put her music back on streaming before July, and if she doesn't, well, then Kumi's singles or Ayumi's essentials it is. 2
