Bamboo Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 Dear John IS her best written song and deserves All Too Well’s success. It’s just so well written and scathing, ATW wishes 1

Should’ve Said No. Five absolute classics. Indeed. It’s still top 3 in singles runs with Fearless (her best) and 1989 (tainted by Bad Blood). Hate that Taylor and the fandom payola Cold As You because of its silly track 5 privilege. Mary’s Song is that girl on the album. It’s the original folklore and the blueprint for several of her best songs. One day I will write that essay… 2

There’s only one bad song on the album; the only other albums with better ratios are Speak Now and Folklore. Nearly half of Red is mid, and even a few of those are among her worst ever. 1989 is literally the perfect pop album, and the fact that some Swifties still think it’s “cool” to deny that is insane. 1989 is goated, end of. 1 1

Nearly half of Red? I only consider Stay Stay Stay, Girl At Home, Run actually subpar. 27/30 is a fantastic ratio, especially for such a long album.

My personal opinion is 18/30 for Red, and that’s if I’m being generous with the ‘big’ pop singles. Without including them (I know the role they’ve played in her career and tbh they are fun live) Red is 16/30 for me. That’s not seeing the 22/26 for Fearless. 1
Magickarp Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 Her version of TIWYCF is so ******* good i never listened to the "original" at all, but her version has been one of my most replayed this year

Well… we don’t even know if she’s shot one I have a feeling she’s about to or just did it, and it’ll come some time after SNTV. Late July/early August because the song will peak in late August probably (in the US) and could use the boost then
Klein Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 (edited) Not 6/10 Reputation is going to get kicked off on July 7th. It really can't ever win. Edited June 24, 2023 by Klein
